Being back in Mexico has been a pretty weird experience. On one hand, I'm happy to be around my friends, family and people I know, it's also great to be able to attend my local fashion events, sleeping in my own bed, having all my books with me... That's great; on the other hand, I really miss being abroad; for example, partying, I was such a party guy in Korea, I always knew where cool places where, which days were the best to go out, how to get free stuff... but now, I feel like such an outcast.

I'll draw inspiration from a passage I read in Cheri by Colette: Being away for a while is like following your husband to the colonies. Time you come back, you've forgotten what you're supposed to wear, and nobody remembers who you are. Minus the "husband" part, it's kind of how I felt the first couple of days. It's not like people don't remember who I am but it's strange to be so immerse in a place and, suddenly, not being there anymore. Being away and coming back has opened my eyes and, sadly, I can't picture my life (on a long-term basis) in Mexico, I don't think we make a good fit...

On a happier note, it's great having friends helping me shoot outfit photos again. I'm quicker with a tripod but it's kind of a lonely activity, it's not like I'm gonna bust a move on my tripod, haha. I also decided to dye my hair lilac, it's a way of saying "this is my fresh start", I was pink in Seoul and I'm not there anymore, so my hair needed an adjustment. What do you think? Do you like the new hair? Let me know!

  2. Coming back after being away for so long would seem so hard, the post travel blues would hit you so hard. I think your right in saying you may not live in Mexico on a long-term basis another place is calling for you.
