Happy Ending 5 Hiya there, friends! This is the last outfit post I'll do this year and I want to tackle a special subject: happy endings. Not like the "happy endings" you get at the end of a massage, no, no, I'm referring to the regular ones, haha. Over the course of this year, I've learned a few things about life and I've come to believe that it's okay to not be happy all the time, you're allowed to feel many different things at the same moment and that doesn't necessarily mean that your unhappy or sad. You can always be "sappy" (sad+happy).

With that realization, one of my favorite quotes from all time acquired a new and deeper meaning. Orson Welles once said "if you want a happy ending, that depends, of course, on where you stop your story", I used to think that it only referred to different moments of happiness that are ephemeral but now I feel like it means that there are no happy endings, we just keep on living, having good and bad moments, learning to cope with them, moving forward.

If we want a happy ending, a fairy tale one, then we must stop living at some point. Perhaps that's why people kill themselves at a young age, because they won't be able to surpass their current state of mind, they will not get better than how they are at that particular moment. Of course, I can't grasp that idea completely but I can tell you that the end of 2014 is not a happy one for me, it's much more complex and, for the reasons I stated above, I think that's more than okay.

// ¡Hola, hola, amigos!
