<p style="text-align: justify;">I got Covid for the first time back in summer '22 and it wasn't fun, I had the worst time and it sucked even more because I also got "long Covid" affecting my urinary tract (imagine having permanent symptoms of a UTI that flare up from time to time); those two things combined triggered something else: anxiety disorder. It was back then that I realized how scared can I get when it comes to health and how that part of me is one that I really dislike. It's like I have all the right answers in my head but I can't shake off the terror of being sick. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">This past few weeks, my anxiety came back. I never thought I'd be struggling with this again but I got this "medical scare" that has been eating me up and stressing me out. I'm currently at my Mom's house in the US and won't be back to my place in Mexico for 2 more weeks... I did everything I could do here to calm myself but I still haven't been able to sleep properly, I still get "<a href="https://www.sleepfoundation.org/parasomnias/hypnic-jerks">hypnic jerks</a>" and I also feel guilty because I know my mom gets super worried about me. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">And it sucks... this isn't a character trait that I want to keep, you know? I know I'm supposed to be kinder to myself, that I'm supposed to give myself some room to breathe but I get tired and desperate and I just want these anxious feelings to go away, to let me be the best version of myself and to not worry others. Ever since I've started to struggle with a disorder like this, I've become more empathetic to the people who have had it for years and years; it's not their fault and it's out of their control...

<p style="text-align: justify;">For the longest time, I've tried to live under the ideal <i>be the kind of person you'd like to meet</i>, and I think I've been pretty good at it, I can honestly say that, and I also think it happened without me actually noticing it... It was something I wanted, for sure, but it wasn't like a "conscious every day choice" I was making and actively working on, I took it to heart and made it part of my personality.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Thinking about it and putting it into perspective with recent events, it has become a little bit of a bittersweet situation because, yes, I'm happy and proud with how my own personality has turned out... but, it has also made me think about how I don't have a friend like, well, <i>me, </i>and how much I long for one. I know that you can't make people behave the way you want them to, you can't mold your friends but, especially during my most fragile moments, how I wish I could make them care about me as much as I care about them.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">// Por muchísimo tiempo he intentado vivir bajo el ideal <i>sé el tipo de persona que te gustaría conocer,</i> y creo que me he vuelto bueno en eso, puedo decirlo con honestidad, y también pienso que sucedió sin que me diera cuenta...

<p style="text-align: justify;">In my previous post, I talked about meeting up with a former best friend after years of not really speaking to each other and how I was feeling like it was going to be the last time I ever saw him. Turns out... it really wasn't; we talked and things felt, somehow, kind of like they used to and, after some consideration, we agreed to try and salvage this friendship.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">I lived a "The Hills" moment during that conversation and it was very surreal because I said something like: I spent years missing a best friend that no longer exists and it's not like I stopped missing you but, at some point, I started to think less and less about you... And totally felt like Lauren Conrad, haha. It's been years but the wisdom I gained from her remains rooted to my soul and, who knows, maybe I'll have better luck than her with saving friendships.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">// En mi post pasado, hablé de reunirme con un ex-mejor amigo después de no hablar mucho entre nosotros y cómo sentía que ésa iba a ser la última vez que lo viera. </span></p><div style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="120" data-original-width="705" height="54" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-WiIvylrWHb8nNAeKxYV3dDRkXPsvuEw57vCvoUzSV8mJzqRGC786UapAqxGvkYVq_Is1ZgTTOZBK9Q2M-Mxo-RP0NE-dkFSBtOJnyBxqu4lhFqria0UIlki8kebzZHeCs_4W2_ZvfBoJ/s320/paint+and+glitter+breaker.jpg" width="320" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Love always,</div><div style="text-align: center;">Henry.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">currently listening: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHnnwJ7NkRc" target="_blank">grace vanderwaal - lion's den</a>.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>

<p style="text-align: justify;">I'm meeting a friend today and I'm nervous because I haven't seen him in years. The last time we spent some time together... well, it was kind of awkward; I know people change but he changed in a way that wasn't resonating with me anymore and that make me sad, real sad, that made me miss the person he once was, which is not fair (I'm totally aware OK?) because you can't force people to stay the same: we're humans, we all change.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">So, after years of barely talking to each other, we're meeting for coffee tonight (unless he bails, which is completely possible and of the reasons we started drifting apart) and something inside me tells me that this will be the last time I see him, that life is putting on this scenario and situation so I can get closure and move on from that friendship. Alas, I could be completely wrong but <i>it does feel that way,</i> like we're going to say that we should keep in touch and hang out more, recover what we once had but, in reality, that is not viable, that will not happen, this could very much be our final goodbye...</p><p style="text-align: justify;">// Voy a ver a un amigo hoy y estoy nervioso porque no lo he visto en años. </p><div style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="120" data-original-width="705" height="54" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-WiIvylrWHb8nNAeKxYV3dDRkXPsvuEw57vCvoUzSV8mJzqRGC786UapAqxGvkYVq_Is1ZgTTOZBK9Q2M-Mxo-RP0NE-dkFSBtOJnyBxqu4lhFqria0UIlki8kebzZHeCs_4W2_ZvfBoJ/s320/paint+and+glitter+breaker.jpg" width="320" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Love always,</div><div style="text-align: center;">Henry.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">currently listening: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCikSpjR1ic">fifty fifty - higher.</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>

<p style="text-align: justify;">I've been in a rush during several stages of my life, it feels like I needed to get things done and to check them off my list... In fact, I can't exactly pin-point a specific moment in time when I've taken things slow, I kind of forgotten what that's like... Funny, huh?</p><p style="text-align: justify;">I recently had a talk with one of my best friends and a specific thought kept reappearing throughout our conversation (tho I didn't mention it to there at the time): we're almost always pressuring ourselves to figure things out in the quickest most efficient way possible (I'm a hands-on kind of guy, I see a problem and I tackle it directly, trying to solve it) but I realize now that certain scenarios require a bit more time, taking things one step at a time.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Sometimes it's comforting to remember that it's not wrong to give yourself some breathing room until you can <i>actually</i> figure things out; not every single problem needs a resolution right away, it's okay to wait for a bit.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">// He estado apurado y con prisa durante muchas etapas de mi vida, se siente como si necesitara hacer las cosas para tacharlas de mi lista...

<div style="text-align: justify;">You know the whole <i>you shouldn't care what other people think </i>and <i>ignore your haters</i> and (even going the religious route) <i>love thy brother</i>? That's all cute and everything <i>on paper </i>but I've already lost hope in everything and everyone (kind of) and I call all of that BS. I was bullied on Instagram last week on one of those profiles that re-posts other people's content because I uploaded some stories telling my followers and friends that, since my birthday is coming up, I created a wish list on Amazon to see if someone might get me a present... AND PEOPLE WENT MAD! </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">All of the sudden, it wasn't even about the content of my stories, it was about my hair, my face, my skin tone, my teeth, jaw, my mental health, my economic status, my job... Terrible people saying terrible things, some of them even went to my profile to send hate messages. And I wonder, is that the best they can do with their free time? Is hating on unproblematic strangers their emotional outlet? If it is, it's really sad.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I'm not good with unreasonable hate, I don't ever post hateful comments on social media or call people names. In the past, I've done some influencer parodies or secret exposing but I never directed them at anyone in particular, <i>these profiles are way different.</i> I want them to know that someone on the other side of the screen is receiving their hate, I want them to feel bad about it, HATE YOUR HATERS, I say. If enough people start seeing these actions as harmful instead of entertaining and they start <i>doing something about them,</i> then there might be a chance for redemption. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Think about it, you never know when one of those "funny" posts or comments will send someone over the edge and end up with irreparable consequences. Does it still feel funny or entertaining when you're the one suffering? When someone you like is suffering? When someone harms themselves because of what you said or did to be "funny"? Give this a thought next time you face a similar situation and if you know someone who's doing harmful things to others, try to put a stop to it.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Coronavirus and this whole pandemic has taken lots of things from us, on so many scales and levels, that I feel like (and I don't think it's only me but I can only speak for myself) I've lost a bit of myself in this crazy situation. My routine and daily schedules changed enormously, I'm spending 95% of time at home; I've lost friendships, work, opportunities, special moments... so many spoiled plans and goals in this year and a half. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">However, there are a few things that have been helping lately and I'm starting to feel (a bit) like myself again. Among those are reading and writing, how I missed those two things! I'm back to my usual pace of reading 2 books per month and I've been writing here a lot more, that feels really good. Another thing that has helped has come in physical terms, I cut and re-touched (re-dyed?) my hair this week and, I don't know, something about taking care of how I look and looking how <i>I want </i>to<i> </i>look makes me feel like things can get better, that I can adjust and find new paths to go on, maybe not with a smile but, with a smirk on my face.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">// La pandemia y el coronavirus nos han quitado tantas cosas, en muchos niveles y escalas, que siento como si (y creo que no soy el único pero sólo puedo hablar por mí) he perdido un poco de mí mismo en esta rara situación.

I've never been good with understanding jealousy but I know that I didn't have any romantic interest in him, he was just my friend that liked anime and that I had a good time talking to. Yet, when I confronted him about it (because, truth be told, it kinda hurts to get blocked by a friend) ,he just told me something like: <i>you know how he is, can't be helped, </i>and didn't actually do anything. <i>Cool</i>.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">But this is not the end of the story, another <i>friend</i> blocked me too (although this was more of an acquaintance than a close friend, but whatever) because we had conflicting opinions on fashion, ON FASHION... I honestly don't know what drove him to block me and, this time around, I chose not to care and not confront him about it. It feels very strange tho... And I don't know if this is growth or being mature or what, but, I don't want any drama so I'm choosing to let <i>both of</i> <i>them</i> go. I'm done fighting for people who clearly have no problem with kicking me out of their lives. Like I said, I don't want any drama in my life, I have enough things going on and this kind of conflict is just so not worth it at this point.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">// Algo curioso sucedió este mes: un (<i>¿buen?</i>) amigo me bloqueó en redes sociales porque su novio (a quien nunca he conocido pero sólo he escuchado cosas malas de) se sintió celoso y no quiso que fuéramos amigos.

<p style="text-align: center;">**<a href="https://www.dresshead.com/c/sweaters">find cute options for women sweater (s) here</a>**</p><p style="text-align: justify;">It doesn't matter if you're creating or consuming content, social media is designed to become hostile after a while. Lately, I've been consuming less and less content on social media platforms (and, of course, I keep creating because <i>that's</i> my job) and it's because I don't really connect with a lot of people anymore. I find issues with fashion influencers telling you what you should wear and how you need to stop wearing certain things because "they're not trendy or fashionable anymore" (and it pisses me of even more because 9 out 10 of them don't even know what a proper trend is), I don't even pay attention to those who dance on Tiktok or to those influencers whose only talent is showcase their bodies, it really does not resonate with me at all. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">And then I started to see a lot of people who feel very bothered by social media, by the "unattainable" standards it sets. Personally, I've never been frustrated by said reasons... I see people buying really expensive stuff, going to really fancy restaurants, travelling, being super pretty... It doesn't really bother me because I know where I stand and I know my financial limitations; however, after analysing things, I see that it promotes an unhealthy and hostile environment. As spectators, people can become frustrated with their own reality and, as creators, I get frustrated when I see the reach some people can get and how they use their platform for the shallowest of things, I get frustrated because my numbers don't grow and I can't get better payment for a job that I'm really good at (sometimes better than tons of famous influencers). </p><p style="text-align: justify;">At first, social media makes you feel connected and happy and you create content (or consume it) enthusiastically... The moment that bubble bursts, you start feeling strange, like you're not good enough, like you need to do more. Social media is designed to be hostile like that because, no matter on which side of the spectrum you stand, it makes you go back to it and keep investing your time there (one way or another). It's up to each and every single one of us to start healing the relationship we have with the Internet and work on the feelings it makes us get... At least that's what I'll try to do.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: justify;">// No importa si estás creando o consumiendo contenido, las redes sociales están diseñadas para volverse hostiles después de un tiempo. Personalmente, yo nunca me he sentido frustrado por esas razones...

<p style="text-align: justify;">I'm not big on New Year's resolutions and all that stuff because I feel guilty if I don't write off as many of those goals as possible, that's just how my personality works... However, this year I had one main goal (three, if you count its sub-parts) and it consists on doing things I love that I stopped doing (for whatever reason) and that involves <i>reading, writing </i>and <i>playing video games. </i>These are some of my favourite things to do and it sucks how I became lazy and slow in all of them. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">With a little more than half of 2021 gone (crazy, right?), I'm proud to say that I've exceeded my own expectations. I started a <i>physical </i>journal (an unconventional one that I update whenever I feel like writing some ideas) <i>AND</i> a <i>virtual </i>one here, the newest update/change on this blog, which means I've been writing a lot more and I plan to write even more by going back to the series of fiction novels I've been working on for ages. I've been reading a lot more (on a daily basis now), I used to read 2 books per month back in the day, and now I'm getting closer to that again, which excites me very much and; I got a Nintendo Switch for Christmas, which means that I've also been playing a lot more video games (video games are a huge part of my life and I get a lot of creative inspiration from them). So, in a way, I've been taking the past to the present and doing things <i>I needed to do </i>again... Se siente muy bien.</p><div style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="120" data-original-width="705" height="54" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-WiIvylrWHb8nNAeKxYV3dDRkXPsvuEw57vCvoUzSV8mJzqRGC786UapAqxGvkYVq_Is1ZgTTOZBK9Q2M-Mxo-RP0NE-dkFSBtOJnyBxqu4lhFqria0UIlki8kebzZHeCs_4W2_ZvfBoJ/s320/paint+and+glitter+breaker.jpg" width="320" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Love always,</div><div style="text-align: center;">Henry.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">currently listening: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orJSJGHjBLI">ed sheeran - bad habits</a>.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><br /></div>

</b><p style="text-align: justify;">Learning when (and if you have) to leave isn't easy. I believe in exploring paths and solving problems, getting rid of obstacles, falling, getting up and growing from all of those different processes... Having said that, there are moments in life when no second chances or glances should be given, when you need to get the hell away from things that are no longer good for you or that consume your energy in a negative way. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">I feel like I talk a lot about friendships here (because I think they're the most important relationships in life) and through the years I've had to learn to put up walls and boundaries since I'm the kind of friend that's easily stepped on and such learning process also allowed me to see that when your heart tells you it's time to leave some friends behind, you must listen to it. For instance, I've unfollowed tons on people on social media recently, some because I had no real reason to follow anymore and, some friends that no longer think of me or that I've outgrown. I mention social media because I've noticed that I no longer enjoy their content, that we rarely talk or DM or text and, as much as I once loved them, they're not the friends I treasured anymore. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">This is a key sign, I feel, because getting in touch with those emotions have made me wonder: <i>should I stay in this relationship or should I go?</i> And trust me when I tell you I have a saviour complex and I fight for my relationships... Sadly, some of these friendships are not worth fighting for anymore, because a one-sided fight is exhausting and, honestly, I'm already pretty tired to begin with. So, farewell to those who I once loved, I'll still love my memory of you but it's time for me to go. If anything changes, you know where to find me. Si algo cambia, saben dónde encontrarme.</p><div style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="120" data-original-width="705" height="54" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-WiIvylrWHb8nNAeKxYV3dDRkXPsvuEw57vCvoUzSV8mJzqRGC786UapAqxGvkYVq_Is1ZgTTOZBK9Q2M-Mxo-RP0NE-dkFSBtOJnyBxqu4lhFqria0UIlki8kebzZHeCs_4W2_ZvfBoJ/s320/paint+and+glitter+breaker.jpg" width="320" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Love always,</div><div style="text-align: center;">Henry.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">currently listening: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6k63SJQquo" target="_blank">vivy - elegy dedicated with love</a>.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Do you ever have those days where you just want to sleep for a very long time? Maybe squeeze some time to listen to some sad songs, to drink some tea and, if you're ambitious, maybe do a light activity like reading or something like that? That's been this week (as a whole) for me. I've been so tired and, to be honest, I just wanna take naps in soft, cozy spots wearing cute clothes. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Our lives work kind of like a boat sailing the sea, maybe we're the boat and the sea is a representation of life, I'm not really sure but I like that idea; at times, you can go with the flow, following the wind currents; storms can alter our course and it's even possible for us to feel trapped between crashing waves. My sea tends to be stormy, gloomy but not too aggressive, it's hard for me to change course and, also, to let go of the wheel; sure, I'll anchor myself somewhere from time to time but, essentially, I feel like I need to keep going, to keep navigating. I'll feel free even if the waves sweep me away... Even if I feel too tired, I'll let the water cleanse my wounds. </p><div style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="120" data-original-width="705" height="54" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-WiIvylrWHb8nNAeKxYV3dDRkXPsvuEw57vCvoUzSV8mJzqRGC786UapAqxGvkYVq_Is1ZgTTOZBK9Q2M-Mxo-RP0NE-dkFSBtOJnyBxqu4lhFqria0UIlki8kebzZHeCs_4W2_ZvfBoJ/s320/paint+and+glitter+breaker.jpg" width="320" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Love always,</div><div style="text-align: center;">Henry.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">currently listening: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FD2mik4V5EE" target="_blank">wanna one - spring breeze</a>.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've always wanted people to leave a "review" after they unfollow you on social media, similar to those surveys you get after unsubscribing from a newsletter... And I received one recently, sort of, one that I didn't necessarily like but that it was, in some ways, necessary. As a content creator, I put stuff out there on a daily basis, sometimes I receive praise, sometimes I receive hate, but most of the times, I get nothing: a silence that isn't comforting at all. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I believe that, the moment you stop caring about people, that you don't learn things from them anymore or that you feel like their voice is not resonating with yours anymore, you should leave. I wouldn't ever force people to stay with me just because I want them to, that's selfish; every post I've made in here, every YouTube video and social media publication, contains a shard of my personality, of who I am. I always present myself with honesty, with dignity and craft my ideas and content in the best way possible, I never intended to look forced or fake, but that's what this person perceived and I'm not okay with that because it's not what I'm about. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">When that incident happened, I reposted a few YouTube comments on Instagram because they irked me... And I'm not going to apologise for feeling upset or for sharing a <i><b>public</b></i> comment: dealing with one of those comments is way harder than dealing with 20 positive ones and, guess what, I get tired too (but, apparently, I'm not allowed to show you this side of me, am I? Because it feels fake and forced). The moment you feel like you can't support a friend anymore in his or her endeavours, that's when you have to think if it's still worth it to remain there and when it's not, sadly, it's time to move on. So, I sincerely thank all of those who invested a little or a lot of their time in me, the ones that flew away without saying goodbye and the ones that still believe in what I have to offer and choose to remain close every day. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The more you tell me I'm not gonna make it, the more fuel you're adding to the fire.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">// Siempre he querido que la gente te deje una "reseña" después que te dejan de seguir en redes sociales, similar a esas encuestas que aparecen cuando eliminas tu subscripción a un <i>newsletter</i>...

<p style="text-align: justify;">I've always been good at conversations; I feel like, over the years, I've developed my charm and acknowledge its importance. I excel at verbal communication, it's one of my stronger assets, it really is. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Yet, somehow, the pandemic has changed the way I interact with people. I went to a fashion event a few days ago and met and talked to new people. I feel like I, either, was super socially awkward or, weirdly talked to them as if we were best friends. I prefer the latter but, honestly, I don't know if it was a smart move on my behalf.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">I think I need to be more careful and wiser in these situations. Hopefully it was just me being rusty and awkward around people, instead of me forgetting how to behave with <i>the fashion crowd</i>. </p><div style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="120" data-original-width="705" height="54" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-WiIvylrWHb8nNAeKxYV3dDRkXPsvuEw57vCvoUzSV8mJzqRGC786UapAqxGvkYVq_Is1ZgTTOZBK9Q2M-Mxo-RP0NE-dkFSBtOJnyBxqu4lhFqria0UIlki8kebzZHeCs_4W2_ZvfBoJ/s320/paint+and+glitter+breaker.jpg" width="320" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Love always,</div><div style="text-align: center;">Henry.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">currently listening: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwaROOrBGfk">sejeong - warning</a>.</div><div><br /></div>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Isolation is a pretty interesting thing. The more you get to know yourself, the more you spend time alone, the more you want to explore new things. That doesn't necessarily mean hanging around new people; sometimes you only want to get know one or two people better. It can also mean wanting to spend less time with people who have been around longer, because, isolation can, too, make you reevaluate the things, kinds of behaviour and energy you want to be surrounded by. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">An old friend might be on its way out of your life; not because you fought or anything bad like that, but because you love the person they used to be and that's not the person they are right now. People change, you change, and the years spent together are not a strong enough reason to stay in each other's lives. Isolation can make you realise things like that. </p><div style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="120" data-original-width="705" height="54" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-WiIvylrWHb8nNAeKxYV3dDRkXPsvuEw57vCvoUzSV8mJzqRGC786UapAqxGvkYVq_Is1ZgTTOZBK9Q2M-Mxo-RP0NE-dkFSBtOJnyBxqu4lhFqria0UIlki8kebzZHeCs_4W2_ZvfBoJ/s320/paint+and+glitter+breaker.jpg" width="320" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Love always,</div><div style="text-align: center;">Henry.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">currently listening: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghHgChwdIYE">drippin' - young blood</a>.</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />

<p style="text-align: justify;">It's been almost a year since I last updated my blog. Going through this COVID pandemic hasn't been easy on any of us but I feel like it's definitely taken a toll on me. I'm not my usual self (I haven't been for a while) and I don't think I can get back to who I was before all of this happened. What started as a "I'm going to start posting a little less often on this blog and work on other things" became an unplanned hiatus with an end date that I kept on pushing further and further away. Until this month, until this week, until today. Today's the day where it ends and a new beginning (of sorts) can, well, <i>begin</i>. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Writing has always been something I enjoy, reading as well; for 2021, I wanted to <i>really </i>get back into both of these things. So I've been reading more than I did in the past two years, novels of course; and I've been getting back into writing. I started a journal with no proper structure, where I write quotes, thoughts, detached observations, some of the things I feel (in the shape of short essays) and it's been good so far. I like me as a writer, it's something I'm good at and something that I left in a shelf collecting dust for way too long. I needed a break from thinking (and I still do, occasionally), but I'm back.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">As a final thought, and I owe this to the people who will still want to join me in this platform for the times to come, I want to state that the way I've been treating this blog will change and will revert (or transform) into <i>a blog</i>, a much more personal space. I'll still post some outfits but that format will change as well, it's more of a diary now with images that can visually aid the entries. The frequency of posting is something I still don't know, but, I'll try to share a few entries per month. Of course, if you want more fashion, skincare, lifestyle oriented content, be sure to follow me on the rest of my platforms, mainly <a href="https://youtube.com/HenEviaTV">YouTube</a>, <a href="http://www.instagram.com/HenEvia">Instagram</a> and <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@henevia?language=en">Tiktok</a>, that's where that type of content will live.

In case I haven't said this a million times before: I have control issues, I like to plan things and checklists are tools that I live by... That has been a double edged sword in my life for years and years, <i>especially</i> during this pandemic era where we have <i>zero</i> control over everything that's going on in the world. Being unable to do the things I want to do, have less work and paid opportunities, attempting to exercise indoors and dealing with having my sister working from home hasn't been easy. During these tough days, I've realised that long-term goals are a bit, <i>well</i>, too long-term, so I've decided to focus on the immediate tasks at hand: the short-term goals.<br />
<br />
You can start as big or as small as you'd like; say, a very small short-term goal could be trying a new recipe for breakfast tomorrow, a bigger one could be starting to upload Tiktoks on a daily basis. I'm still really worried about the future, it's not like I can turn off that part of my brain, but I've been trying hard to do small tasks every day. I've been baking more, getting better at cooking, doing a few workouts per week, watching tons of shows, playing games, it has helped to keep my mind a little more at ease instead of feeling super frustrated all the time. I make small checklists that are easier to accomplish (for instance: <i>things to do this Sunday</i> and stuff like that) and every little accomplishment feels good, especially if I compare it to an unreachable (at the moment) big goal for the future.<br />
<br />
// En caso de que no haya dicho esto un millón de veces en el pasado: tengo problemas de control, me gusta planear las cosas y vivo de listas... Por años y años, eso ha resultado ser un arma de doble filo en mi vida, <i>en especial </i>durante esta era de pandemia donde tenemos <i>cero</i> control sobre lo que sucede en el mundo. Ser incapaz de hacer las cosas que quiero hacer, tener menos trabajo y oportunidades pagadas, intentar hacer ejercicio en casa y lidiar con tener a mi hermana haciendo <i>home office</i> no ha sido fácil. Durante estos días difíciles me he dado cuenta que las metas a largo plazo son, un poquito, <i>demasiado a largo plazo</i>, así que he decidido enfocarme en las tareas inmediatas que van saliendo: las metas a corto plazo.<br />
<br />

</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I don't like the beach, I don't like heat or sweating or humidity or sand or all that comes with going to the beach. I'm super self conscious of my body so, I don't like swimming shorts and being shirtless in public. My family wanted to go on a beach day and it was one of those situations where you have no say except for "should we bring snacks?" and stuff like that... Luckily for me, it was really cold, like <i>shivering</i> cold, during that day <i>therefore</i> I was able to keep my sweatshirt on the whole time. I think it's important to say that this whole thing happened back in January, before quarantine and stuff like that, so we were not being irresponsible, okay?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Because it was waaaaay too cold, we were completely unprepared, haha; also, when we got to the beach it turned out to be a "no drinking" situation. We were thirsty, cold, pissed off and, I know I said this before but, unprepared, totally unprepared. We needed blankets, better food, a whole bunch of things that we didn't bring, haha. So, no swimming suits, no sunny moments, no tans (thankfully), only me, my sweatshirt, my choker, boots and glasses, haha. In a way, it was the perfect beach day for me because it didn't include all the things that I dislike BUUUUT I also (heavily) dislike going to places unprepared. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Anyhow, let's talk about the outfit here: I've discovered I love how burgundy looks on me, haha, and I need to get more garments in that color... I always go to the beach wearing jeans and some other pieces deemed not "proper beach attire", like boots or suede shoes, but I wanted to keep it cool and chic within my own sense of style and I think it works, it's a really cool look. I've been loving chokers lately and this one is really something! <i>And, </i>last year, I decided to take more risks with my accessories in general, so it works; the sunglasses are another <i>risky choice</i> but I kinda really like them, they're outside of my comfort zone. Take chances, have fun, you only live once and stuff (:<br />
<br />
// No me gusta la playa, no me gusta el calor o sudar o la humedad o la arena o las cosa que tienen que ver con ir a la playa. Soy súper inseguro con mi cuerpo entonces no me gusta usar traje de baño ni estar sin camisa en público. Mi familia quiso ir a un día de playa y fue una de esas situaciones donde no puedes decir otra cosa excepto: "¿llevamos botanas?" y cosas así... Por suerte para mí, ese día hacía muchísimo frío, frío de ese que <i>te hace temblar</i>, así que <i>claro </i>que pude quedarme en sudadera todo el tiempo. Creo que es importante decir que esto sucedió en Enero, antes de la cuarentena y cosas así, no estábamos siendo irresponsables ¿OK?<br />
<br />
<br />

Sometimes, a break is much needed...</span><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've realised that it's extremely hard for me to know exactly <i>when </i>I need to take a break from things. Maybe that's why I get sick due to stress and stuff like that, maybe that's why I feel overwhelmed most of the time. I didn't know I needed a break from blogging and editing photos and writing posts until I was deep in the final week of June and told myself: <i>you need to get rid of some of this pressure you're putting on yourself, if you try to compensate and do a bunch of posts at once, you'll only get exhausted. It's okay to take a breather. </i>And a breather I took, a much needed one because I'm recovering from a terribly stressful week.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Being on quarantine has affected us in very different ways but I can only speak for myself and say that it has really taken a toll on my mental health and I'm not sure I'm dealing with things in the best way possible. I exhaust myself some days and, on others I don't want to do anything and I feel like staying in bed all day... But then I feel guilty and exhaust myself all over again. That's not healthy. I'm a competitive guy, as I'm sure I've mentioned before, and at times the hardest competitor I face is <i>myself</i>. I don't let myself off the hook easily and I think I put so much unnecessary pressure on my shoulders because I'm messy and I can't seem to follow my own plans, that needs to change. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm also a resilient person. I don't take things for granted and I'm always fighting with myself, with the world, even with Internet algorithms, I don't quit easily and I hate giving up. "Finish what you started" is a saying that has remained close to my heart and one that I easily ignore as well. I start a million things (and sure, I eventually finish them all) but fail to follow through in a steady manner, I need to change that as well. Small or big goals, tough or easy challenges, I need to get my sh*t together and figure out a way to organise myself, to finish the things I start and, also, to relieve some of the weight I purposely carry on my shoulders. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Stay with me, let's figure things out.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.henevia.com/p/who-am-i.html"><img alt="Firma Hen Evia 200" height="197" src="https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4230/35751724936_205aefcd77_o.png" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<img border="0" data-original-height="120" data-original-width="705" height="54" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6VvM2aURs85QwXciLGpWNIN3LrYW9eQ7lLxWj-q42bQ6H5vAVPAp5WmMysUbla7RCECND28Kja9hi4SzMuiQH8S25BJUs20AQdAiTP7aw35mhBMTMvyP2DOvQdb2amkmE-_km4BYsQiBJ/s320/paint+and+glitter+breaker.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: start;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: start;">
</span></div>
<div style="text-align: start;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Quédate conmigo, solucionemos cosas.<br />

<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Super skinny jeans in black, from H&M.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. Leather Chelsea boots in black, from Frank Wright.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
4. Rings, from H&M.</div>
<img alt="outfits with glitter shirts and weird farm like settings 3" height="1055" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50071477612_c23d9fd1ee_o.jpg" width="760" /><script async="" charset="utf-8" src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js"></script>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS. I wrote that in all caps because I mean it, guys; life teaches us many lessons and that's an important one. I'm a perfectionist, a control-freak, I like to lead and, if you haven't guessed it by now, that has hurt me and teared me down many many times. When I go to family things or events held by my mom's friends, it's a funny thing, they always tell me I look like a model (I mean, of course I'm not a model but thanks) or a pop-star or even, (true story) the dolls from the wedding cake... And I think it's because of the way I dress and present myself. I'm not always <i>glamorous </i>or anything like that but I <i>do</i> put in a lot of effort. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, imagine this scenario when we got to this party with 20-30 people and I'm wearing a freakin' glitter shirt and the host is in shorts and flip-flops (with very questionable hair), I felt <i>so out of place </i>and, I know it's a frivolous thing to say, at the same sort of superior to everyone else. That's the power your outfit and personal care can give you. Let me finish this statement saying that I was in no way superior to anyone and dressing better doesn't make you better than others but it sure as hell gives you a confidence boost. In the end, I got past my initial judgements by lowering my expectations and, turns out, everyone was super friendly and nice; that proves that even when you're in a farm (<i>because I was</i>), surrounded by people with a bad sense of style, you're not better than them, they all have their own value and when you change your focus from say, their outfits or their hair, you can <i>actually</i> see people for what they are.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
With that said, let's talk about fashion here, okay? Because all that sentimentalism I said before is well and good but another very important thing to state is that if you look good, you feel good and; , also, <i>every event is an excuse to dress up a bit</i>. If you're nice, interesting, kind <i>and well dressed</i>, you're on your way to success. I paired my new favourite glitter shirt (<a href="https://www.yesstyle.com/en/women.html?rco=HENRYEVIA&utm_term=HENRYEVIA&utm_medium=Influencer&utm_source=dynamic">from YesStyle</a>) with black skinny jeans and black boots; the shirt is strong enough to make a statement, I feel like it looks best with a muted palette when it comes to the rest of the outfit, all black, all the time. Shine with your clothes and shine with your personality, you'll be unstoppable.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
// BAJEN SUS EXPECTATIVAS. Lo escribí todo en mayúsculas porque lo digo en serio, amigos; la vida nos enseña muchas lecciones y ésta es una importante. Soy perfeccionista, me gusta el control, liderar y esas cosas y, si no lo han adivinado hasta ahora, eso me ha derrotado y lastimado muchas veces. Cuando voy a cosas familiares o eventos de los amigos de mi mamá, es chistoso, siempre me dicen que parezco modelo (digo, claro que no soy modelo pero gracias) o cantante de pop o incluso (historia verdadera) uno de los muñequitos del pastel de bodas... Y creo que es por la forma en que me visto y me presento. No siempre soy glamoroso o cosas así pero <i>vaya </i>que le echo ganas. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</i>Si eres amable, interesante, agradable <i>y bien vestido</i>, vas en camino al éxito. </div>
<img alt="outfits with glitter shirts and weird farm like settings 4" height="1344" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49931288383_5c11a0817b_o.jpg" width="760" /><br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
This quarantine has been tough, hasn't it? That if we're fortunate enough to stay "safely" inside our homes. I've noticed that I've been singing a lot less (mostly because my sister's home) and not quite enjoying music as I normally do these past few weeks. So, when a friend of mine asked me to create a playlist for him, I thought: <i>hey, why don't I share it here too?</i> It's mostly for those days when you really want to go outside but, sadly, have to stay indoors. Hope you guys like it! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
// Esta cuarentena ha estado ruda ¿no? Eso si es que tenemos la fortuna de quedarnos "a salvo" dentro de nuestras casas. He notado que, en estas semanas, he estado cantando menso (principalmente porque mi hermana está en casa) y no disfrutando tanto la música como normalmente hago. Así que, cuando un amigo me pidió que le hiciera una playlist, pensé: <i>hey, ¿por qué no la comparto aquí también?</i> Es, principalmente, para esos días cuando realmente quieres salir pero, tristemente, te tienes que quedar en casa. ¡Espero que les guste!<br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Stopping things and changing focus...</span><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Somehow, being weirdly trapped at home has put a stop into my life plans, partly because I'm unable to do many things but also because it seems as if certain parts of the world and the things I see seem to have stopped or taken a pause. I believe there are two ways of looking at this: when things stop, you get sad, you get frustrated and, therefore, stop everything around you (I've been doing that and it's not getting me anywhere) AND, here's the money, the second approach, which consists on changing your focus onto the processes that <i>are </i>in motion and finding a way to keep moving. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The current global situation isn't nice, it's not pretty and, quite frankly, I hate everything about it. Things are more expensive, my work and partnerships with brands have been slowed down to amoeba speed, my sense of privacy has been deeply distorted and, last but never least, my emotional health has taken a toll. I thought that since people would be stuck at home, they'd be more appreciative of internet content (<i>my content</i>) but it's not the case, I'm still struggling, I'm still figuring things out and it's super frustrating. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Changing my focus and staying positive is so easy to say, so easy to think, but it's hard to put that in motion, to start something new. However, what else is there to do? If you fail, try and try again and, when your consequent attempts fail the target, try and try and try harder. I need that to be my motto, to keep myself motivated, to rebuilt and strengthen the parts of my that have been shattered in the past year or so. Let us try and try and try and try things, rebuild ourselves, it's the best we can do to survive.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</span><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Changing my focus and staying positive is so easy to say, so easy to think, but it's hard to put that in motion, to start something new. However, what else is there to do? <div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px;">
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: black; font-family: -webkit-standard; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; margin: 0px; text-decoration: none; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
I was just about to go to bed (at 5 am no less) when <i>this particular thought</i> came to me. In times like these, when we're advised (<i>urged</i>) to stay home, to be contained inside four walls, I've suddenly felt the need to think back, to reflect a little, to remember all the things these walls in my house have seen: things that happened, things that became memories, memories through the walls. </div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: black; font-family: -webkit-standard; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; margin: 0px; text-decoration: none; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: black; font-family: -webkit-standard; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; margin: 0px; text-decoration: none; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
I thought about so many different scenarios: coming back from school to a home-cooked meal; having friends over; those strange moments when you'd have to stay home for some reason but still wondered what your family was doing; sleepovers; boring birthday parties and good ones too; being sick; staying home and watching cartoons; lunches; drunken moments; Christmas dinners; baking; watching movies with friends; watching shows with my Mom... It feels close but, at the same time, oh so far away.</div>
<div style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: black; font-family: -webkit-standard; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; margin: 0px; text-decoration: none; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px;">
Some days I feel trapped here <i style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: black; font-family: -webkit-standard; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; text-decoration: none; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">because</i> we're not supposed to go out, it's a quarantine after all; other days, I feel trapped <i style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: black; font-family: -webkit-standard; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; text-decoration: none; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">inside my own head</i> because I get bad and feel weird for no reason at all. That drains me, it makes me feel sad, tired, unmotivated... But, even if it's just for a little moment (at almost 6 am now), I feel nostalgically happy. These walls that are <i style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; caret-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: black; font-family: -webkit-standard; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; text-decoration: none; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">my </i><i>confinement </i>are also <i>my home</i>; those moments are my memories and no crisis or virus can ever take them away from me, they can't take away this feeling.</div>
<div style="margin: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px;">
// Estaba a punto de irme a dormir (a las 5:00 am, claro que sí) cuando este <i>pensamiento particular </i>vino hacia mí. En tiempos como estos, cuando nos aconsejan (<i>imploran</i>) quedarnos en casa, estar contenidos en cuatro paredes, de repente he sentido la necesidad de pensar, reflexionar un poquito, recordar todas las cosas que estas paredes de mi casa han visto: cosas que sucedieron, cosas que se convirtieron en recuerdos, recuerdos a través de las paredes. </div>
<div style="margin: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px;">
<div style="margin: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin: 0px;">
</div>
<div style="margin: 0px;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
For the first time in-<i>I don't know how many</i>-centuries, we have the ability to save the world of a pandemic by staying home. Of course, those of us who are able to say home in these Coronavirus times should consider ourselves lucky (at least to some extent, I won't talk about how this is affecting my line of work here, I'll reserve that for a different post), but tons of people (especially marginalised parts of society) won't be able to stay home because they live on a day-by-day basis; some small businesses are on the verge of collapsing and, with no near end in sight, I feel like most of us will see a drastically different reality by the time it's considered prudent to leave our houses. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Our society works under the basis of capitalism, if we add the idea of a virus spreading, poor healthcare conditions and the already present inequality in it, the results are a little terrifying. Basically we'll be stuck with a system in which the richer will have access to the best medical resources and the working class and underprivileged fellows will suffer even more than they already do because, not only will they be sick, they'll also be unable to put food on the table. I've read somewhere that a situation like this serves as "an equalizer" because it affects <i>every step of the hierarchy EQUALLY</i>, without discriminating between rich and poor and it's true (in that little extent) but it's also false. The virus will not care about how much money you have in the bank but it definitely won't put everybody on the same boat. NOT A CHANCE.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The virus will impact heavily in politics, economics and healthcare, that's a given. In a country and society where class stratification plays a huge role in daily life, the consequences will worsen and the scariest part is that it's already happening: between people who don't really believe in the virus (upper and lower class tiers) and keep on going out, increasing the contagious rate; people who blame it all on the president (because we all need someone to blame, right?); casual racists and; unfair company owners... Things are looking pretty bleak at the moment. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If this virus acted like an equaliser, people wouldn't be forced to go to work, to crowd subway stations... We're about to see a harsher division between classes and if we stop fighting, it'll be impossible to change the current situation. So, next time you think about leaving your home for a non-life threatening situation, don't only think about sick people (although I'm sure irresponsible people don't event think about that), consider the impact you're generating in society and the contribution you're making to an awful new normality that will only divide classes even further. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
// Por primera vez en <i>no sé cuántos </i>siglos, tenemos la habilidad de salvar al mundo de una pandemia quedándonos en casa. Por supuesto, los que podemos quedarnos en casa en estos tiempos de Coronavirus podríamos considerarnos afortunados (al menos hasta cierto punto, no hablaré de cómo esto está afectando mi línea de trabajo en este post, reservaré eso para otra entrada), pero mucha gente (especialmente las partes de la sociedad más marginadas) no van a poder quedarse en casa porque viven <i>al día</i>; algunos negocios pequeños ya están al borde de colapsar y, con una fecha de finalización no a la vista, siento que la mayoría de nosotros verá una realidad drásticamente diferente para cuando sea prudente dejar nuestras casas. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Have you ever seen those posts on social media that say things like "to take better care of yourself, do the following: journal every day, meditate, take a deep breath..." and stuff like that? I'm sure you have... I don't think they're true, haha. I've yet to meet a person that's all zen like that and the few Internet girls I've seen talking about that seem fake AF, a very boring cliché. That said, I think self care is SUPER SUPER IMPORTANT OK? And just because I feel those things are clichéd and fake, doesn't mean that they're not true, they just don't work for me. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Let me tell you what it does (in a list because, well, organisation is important):</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. Read a good novel. Just because there are a million motivational books doesn't mean they're any great pieces of literature. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. Binge-watch a good show. Animes and movies work fine as well. Just focus on their story for a while and, when you're done, think about the good things that you might add into your daily life. Hearing stories is good when you feel like yours is stuck.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. Focus on yourself. Stop trying to save every single person out there because, spoiler alert, the only person you can save (most times) is yourself. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. Pampering. Get that skincare routine in check, try on new outfits, do something different with your hair. Do it for yourself and not for others. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
5. Internalise. Give yourself a good self-therapy session (yes, journal if you need to...). Think about the things you want to accomplish, make lists, set goals, download that cheesy organising app that you were curious about. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
BONUS! Learn something new, anything, just learn something: a language, a recipe, try a new tea, figure out how to make yourself a drink, try a home workout routine. Seriously, just keep your mind busy. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Really hoping some of these tips help you out in times of need. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Remember: be your top priority, always.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Love,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Henry.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" data-original-height="120" data-original-width="705" height="54" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-WiIvylrWHb8nNAeKxYV3dDRkXPsvuEw57vCvoUzSV8mJzqRGC786UapAqxGvkYVq_Is1ZgTTOZBK9Q2M-Mxo-RP0NE-dkFSBtOJnyBxqu4lhFqria0UIlki8kebzZHeCs_4W2_ZvfBoJ/s320/paint+and+glitter+breaker.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. Consentirse.
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
5. Internalizar.
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Recuerda: tú eres tu prioridad número uno, siempre.</div>
