Sanctuary: Place of lights

I'm wearing:

1. Chunky knit sweater, from Pull & Bear Heritage.
2. Super skinny jeans, from Zara.
3. Leather lace-up boots, from Frank Wright.
4. Enlarged key ring necklace, Maison Martin Margiela for H&M.
5. Oversized clubmasters, from Ray-Ban.
I found myself thinking of safe places, like really, really safe places where no harm can come near you. It isn't paradise but it feels like home. A place like that has to exist, right? A sanctuary, a place where sparks fly, where people touch and ignite things. A sanctuary.

Like I said before, while trying to explain this month's complicated theme, sparks come in different shapes, sizes and have different effects on people. But I really love to think that there's a place, a sanctuary, that's electric and magical and causes reactions on people and makes them FEEL, be alive.

A good friend took me to a french toast breakfast and to really talk the other day, it was something I really needed. I think friends are a big part of my sanctuary (which may not be a physical place), it's all about the idea of creating sparks that make you realize things and make you laugh or cry or just react. We all need that, we need to feel connected and, in a way, I think we all like the ignition that talking about things generate. I'm rambling a little, am I not?

Well, I guess the real lesson here is that the reaction I got was a little more of an allergic one than an emotional one thanks to my lovely sweater (which I really like) and some polemic thanks to the key chain necklace, that people associate with S&M but I won't stop wearing, ever. I love it. It's my sanctuary in a form of jewellery.

Do you ever think of a place you can call a sanctuary?
Love always, Hen.
