Endlessly (in collaboration with Paruno)

I'm wearing:

It's hard to pin-point exactly when an era comes to an end and its successor begins. When I think back, say, a year ago, I was at a very different stage of my life, some people were in it that are ghosts nowadays and I believe it's important to let them fade away and move on, do our own thing. People come and go, moments pass and eras end, often without us realising it's happening.

My ride as a blogger has been a funny one. When I first started going to events and doing campaigns and collaborations with brands, I was pretty much alone most of the time, it's because I'm a bit shy when I first meet groups of people. I used to be part of certain crowd but that quickly faded away when I noticed that I didn't belong there. After that, I wandered for a bit, met more bloggers and, slowly, I've been building up relationships that go beyond work. I've found friends.

Same thing happens with brands I work with. You have your one-timers and you also have the ones you build long-term relationships with. That's the case with Paruno, my favourite Mexican shoe brand, I remember meeting with them, getting to know the brand and, from that point on, working together to create the best content possible. That's sort of how life works, it's an endless process that repeats again and again, people change, emotions are different but you're endlessly walking the world, hopping on new adventures and challenging yourself.

Cuando recuerdo cosas, digamos, un año atrás, estaba en un punto muy diferente de mi vida, algunas personas que estaban ahí son fantasmas en estos días y creo que es importante dejar que desaparezcan y seguir adelante, ir a nuestro ritmo. La gente viene y va, los momentos pasan y las eras terminan, muy seguido sin que nosotros nos demos cuenta.

Mi camino como blogger ha sido chistoso. Cuando recién empecé a ir a eventos y haciendo campañas y colaboraciones con marcas, estaba bastante solo casi todo el tiempo; eso es porque soy algo tímido cuando recién me integro a grupos de personas. Solía ser parte de alguna multitud pero eso se esfumó rápidamente cuando me di cuenta que no pertenecía ahí. Tras eso, floté por un tiempo, conocí a más bloggers y, lentamente, he estado construyendo relaciones que van más allá del trabajo. Encontré amigos.

Lo mismo sucede con las marcas con que trabajo. Tienes a esas con las que haces sólo una cosa y luego tienes a las que construyen relaciones a largo plazo contigo. Eso es el caso con Paruno, mi marca mexicana de zapatos favorita. Recuerdo reunirme con ellos, empezar a conocer la marca y, desde ese punto, trabajar con ellos para crear el mejor contenido posible. La vida funciona más o menos así, es un proceso sin fin que se repite una y otra vez, la gente cambia, las emociones son diferentes pero caminamos el mundo eternamente, saltando a nuevas aventuras y desafiando nuestras posibilidades.
