A (helpful) guide to confrontation

Wisdom #43 A Helpful Guide To Confrontation
For this post, I want to do something different and make this sort of guide that will help you out when it's time to deal/confront a situation. It's simple, straightforward and, best of all, effective.

1. Always ask the other person what's going on before attacking or involving others. This is a pretty good way of ending something before it starts because you get to see the other person's posture and understand it.

2. Don't involve others. This is pretty simple. If you have a problem with someone, then it's something between the two of you and that's it, your friends are great for moral support but not for fighting the battle with you, that's ganging up and it's unfair.

3. Avoid judging and try to understand. Those who can be a friend to their enemy have already won the battle.

4. Don't go to social media and attack a person. Approach him or her and get the story before you want to burn someone's reputation.

5. When something's bothering you, speak up. Sometimes people don't even realise they hurt you if you don't tell them about it.

6. Understand the reasons and make peace with the fact that, even if it wasn't your intention or you weren't aware, you might have done something wrong. Misunderstandings are just that, missed understandings.

Hopefully this guide will help next time you're facing a tough situation.
Best of luck,
Henry.

2. No involucres a otras personas.

Henry.
