Last year's Coachella.

I'm wearing:

1. Plaid shirt, from Springfield.

2. Coachella t-shirt.

3. Acid wash skinny jeans, from Zara.

4. Oxford shoes, from Pull & Bear.

5. Striped hat, from Zara. 

6. Eco bag, from Rapsodia.  

Since this is the Coachella weekend, I thought that a look with my Coachella t-shirt was appropriate. I didn't go, it was my sister who brought it for me. It's really cool. I dream of going to Coachella, it's not only a great concert, the art expositions are incredible and, I don't know, the whole idea captivates me.

On the other hand of this pictures, I think it's really important for us to start using eco bags on a daily basis. We can help the planet even in little ways. We'll be reducing plastic or paper bags by using it. Mine is from this super cool argentinian store called Rapsodia; they're eco-friendy and that makes it even more awesome. 

For those of you who went to this year's Coachella, congrats. For those who couldn't, it'll be our year soon, don't worry.

Con esto, estarriamos reduciendo la cantidad de bolsas de plástico o papel utilzadas. Mi bolsa es de Rapsodia, una tienda de ropa argentina súper buena onda; ellos son eco-amigables, eso los hace aún más padres.

Para aquellos que fueron a Coachella este año, felicidades. Aquellos que no fueron, no se preocupen. Pronto será nuestro año.

The black jacket: in action.

I'm wearing:

I talked about the importance of the black jacket on my last post and here's my evidence. This is my reliable black jacket: it's from Asos, super comfortable and, most importantly, versatile. If you look up some of my previous posts you'll see it a couple times. I really love it. 

This look was really all about the jacket, I paired it with skinny jeans, a black t-shirt and soccer shoes. Casual, yet cool. As you can see, I love the pockets, hehe. It is really a great jacket, I love the architecture-ish construction of it, the button/zipper election and all the different ways it can be worn.

Este look era para mostrar la chamarra, la usé con jeans entubados, una playera negra y mis tennis de fútbol. Casual y buena onda. Me encantan los bolsillos (ja, se nota ¿no?). En serio es una gran chamarra, me gusta mucho la como construcción arquitectónica que tiene, la opción de usar botones o cierre y todas las formas en que puedo usarla. 

I mean, c'mon on; I can even jump while wearing it!

The Black Jacket.

A black jacket is an essential piece of every man's closet. It's a basic element, like a v-neck shirt or jeans, that must never be taken lightly. The black jacket says a lot of who the guy really is; a sports jacket gives a different vibe than a leather or a military one.

The whole point of a black jacket is its versatility; you must be able to wear it with several different pieces. Make it formal by pairing it up with a shirt, a tie or bow tie, a vest or a sweater underneath; make it casual by wearing it with a t-shirt, a plaid shirt or a tank top.

If you're going formal, you need to be extra careful with the other pieces; I mean, you want to look polished, not too elegant, but not too 'I'm going to the grocery store' either. On the other hand, if the plan is to go casual, the possibilities are endless. It really depends on what jacket you wear and the occasion for it. Always put your own touch into the mix, if you feel great then mission accomplished: you know how to make the most out of a black jacket. In a few days, I'll post my take on the simple black jacket (:

// La chamarra negra es una de las piezas esenciales en el guardarropa de todo hombre. Es un elemento básico, así como una playera en cuello V o unos buenos pantalones de mezclilla, por eso, jamás debe ser tomada a la ligera. La chamarra dice mucho de quién es la persona. No es lo mismo traer una deportiva, que una de piel o una militar.

El punto de la chamarra negra es la versatilidad. Tiene que poder usarse con muchas piezas distintas. Se hace formal al combinarla con una camisa, corbata o corbatín, un chaleco o un sweater abajo; casual, al usarla con una playera, una sin mangas o una camisa granjera.

Si la onda es formal, hay que tener mucho cuidado con las otras piezas, digo, la cosa es verse arreglado, no muy elegante, pero no como si se fuera al súper o algo. Por el otro lado, si el plan es ir casual, las posibilidades son infinitas. Realmente depende de qué chamarra sea y la ocasión en que se use. Siempre hay que agregarle un otque propio.
