Like Everybody, Trust No One.

I'm wearing:

1. Slim fit blazer with studs, from Zara.

2. "Don't Fall In Love With A Rockstar" t-shirt, from H&M.

3. Black super skinny jeans, from Asos.

4. Black leather boots, from Asos.

5. Hair chalk to make my hair purple, from Urban Outfitters.

When I say "the best is yet to come", I'm not only thinking about positive, happy, things; it's also about a learning process. So far, if I've learned one thing while being abroad is that you should like everybody but trust no one. At least at first. I've forged some amazing friendships in here but I also suffered a lot with others that, at the end of the day, weren't as important as the ones that stood out.

I think that idea applies to so much more than going to a different country; it's really important to keep good relationships with the people that will surround you in life but that doesn't mean you have to be super bubbly and friendly all the time; be gracious, be clever and try to be nice, all without compromising yourself. Don't make your heart and brain suffer for people unworthy of your affection.

But feelings aside, I'm starting to realize that I wear a lot of black pieces; I don't know what I would do without my black skinnies, for example. My studded blazer has proven to be a great jacket, people love it, and I put some chalk in my hair to spice up an otherwise black & white outfit. I wanted to have pink and blue in my head at the same time but it mixed into purple. What do you think? I kinda like it.

Hasta ahora, si he aprendido algo de estar de intercambio en Korea es que debes ser amable con todos pero confiar en nadie. Al menos al principio. He forjado amistades increíbles aquí pero también sufrí mucho con otras que, al final del día, no eran tan importantes como las que destacaron.

Creo que esa misma idea aplica para mucho más que ir a otro país; es muy importante tener buenas relaciones con la gente que te rodea en la vida diaria, pero eso no significa que tienes que ser híper enérgico y súper amigable todo el tiempo; hay que actuar con gracia, ser astuto y amable, todo sin sacrificar quién se es. No hagan sufrir a su corazón y cerebro por gente que no merece su afecto.

Quitando todo el sentimentalismo, me estoy dando cuenta que uso mucha ropa negra; no sé qué haría sin mis jeans entubados negros, por ejemplo. Mi saco con estoperoles ha probado ser grande, la gente lo ama, y puse tiza para el cabello en mi cabeza para aderezar lo que sin eso sería un atuendo blanco y negro. Quise tener rosa y azul al mismo tiempo pero se mezclaron en morado. ¿Qué opinan? Creo que me gusta.
