Letting go isn't easy, especially when it comes to feelings and attachments. Some relationships are born, they burn bright, burn out and become ashes; some relationships are slow burners, they never quite take off but when they end, man, that hurts like hell. I'm not an expert when it comes to romantic relationships, my love life is kind of non-existent and I'm the king of unrequited love... For some reason, those things just don't happen to me. However, I've had two important love stories that kind of shaped me, two flames that never got their chance to shine bright.

The other day someone asked me about my past relationships and, even though I'm conscious and aware of this, it's always shocking to say that I've never been in a long-term relationship, things just haven't happened that way. That's why I consider my love stories as important as relationships and, during that conversation, it hit me, an awakening: they're gone. The most recent one was harder to let go of, but now that I think about it, she's gone, she's out of my life.

I used to remember the good times and get a bit nostalgic but nowadays I can honestly tell you, I'm over her, that makes me happy and sad, at the same time. Happy because I'm ready for something new, because I don't get hurt anymore and; sad, because some part of me will always think of the things that could've been but never were. She was gone, because I pushed her out, because it was the only way to get over her, and now she's really gone, because I feel nothing, because I don't miss her anymore.

gone 2 gone 4 gone 3 Love always,
Henry.
