We live in a harsh world, you guys. Sometimes it's hard to believe that our hopes and dreams can actually happen and become real; at least that's how I feel some days, like there's so many things I want, so many things I'm good at, but the opportunities are just not there. I know that we have to chase what we want, that we have to create our own opportunities and that it's up to us to keep dreaming and stay alive, I know that, I just struggle with believing that.

The other day, I was talking to a friend about finding your significant other and being ready for that. He said that he puts his career first and that got me thinking: is that what I'm doing? And then I thought even further: of course I'm putting my career first because I don't have a love life and sometimes I get scared of that thought. I'm a romantic, I believe in the essence of romance and how it goes beyond love, how emotions can create incredible experiences, aesthetic, intelectual moments. I've always been a romantic but I don't know how much I believe in love anymore.

That has been an unpleasant awakening; what if my destiny is to end up alone because I'm a different kind of guy, because I'm not your average Joe, because I've never been popular with girls and the ones I like always end up not giving me a chance? I like to think that I'm okay with being alone, I like to think that life has a plan for me and that, part of me achieving my goals and dreams has to do with doing it alone. I want to believe that my dreams keep me alive and that romanticising life fuels my brain.
