Hero!

How many times have you wished superheroes were real? Wouldn't it be amazing that if you're in trouble, Flash or Superman could show up and save you? I've certainly wished for that many times in my life. I guess superheroes were created based on that need, you know, the need for some sort of saviour that comes out of nowhere and fixes the toughest situations.

The lack of superheroes in real life makes us try and find heroes somewhere else. The definition of hero refers to a brave person who is admired or idealised for courage, outstanding achievements or noble qualities. Heroes are those we look upon as role models, the ones that inspire us to be better, to do more things around us. Superpowers or not, heroes are very much a part of our everyday lives.

When we're little, quite often we link the idea of a hero to our mom or dad, to someone close to us that impresses us by their actions. As we grow, we realise that everyone (even our heroes) make mistakes and our perception of heroism changes a bit, we learn how to be okay with imperfections and that's when we might feel the lack of a superhero figure. Well, here's what I have to say about that: why don't we try to be our own hero, to be courageous and admire the things we do, develop our nobility and strive for stars? Let's be our own superheroes.

Supongo que los superhéroes fueron creados a partir de esa necesidad, saben, la necesidad de algún tipo de salvador que aparece de la nada y arregla las situaciones más difíciles.

La falta de superhéroes en la vida real nos hace intentar buscar héroes en otros lados. La definición de héroe se refiere a una persona valiente que es admirada o idealizada por su coraje, por sus grandes logros o sus cualidades nobles. Los héroes son aquéllos a quien vemos como modelos a seguir, los que nos inspiran a querer ser mejores, a hacer más a nuestro alrededor. Súper poderes o no, los héroes son una parte importante de nuestra vida diaria. 

Cuando somos pequeños, frecuentemente vinculamos la idea de un héroe a nuestros padres o a alguien cercano que nos impresiona con sus acciones. Conforme vamos creciendo, nos damos cuenta que todos (aún nuestros héroes) cometen errores y nuestra percepción de heroísmo cambia un poquito, aprendemos a estar bien con las imperfecciones y es ahí cuando quizá sentimos la falta de una figura heroica. Pues, aquí está lo que tengo que decir al respecto: ¿por qué no intentamos ser nuestro propio héroe, ser valiente y admirar las cosas que hacemos, desarrollar nuestra nobleza y apuntar hacia las estrellas? Seamos nuestros propios superhéroes.
