YouTube Monthly Recap: November

Hi everyone! Hope you're doing great! November was a funny month for me. Some really cool things happened and, also, some horrible events took place. I guess it was an intense month that taught me several valuable lessons but I'm not really gonna go deep on that just yet, I guess you'll have to wait a little, hehe.

During November, I wanted to share a bit of knowledge by talking about things that I've learned as a blogger and YouTuber these past few years, it has been such an incredible ride and I can't wait to see what comes next! I also did a collaboration with another YouTuber (I love those), talked about my favourite Instagram accounts and resurrected my monthly favourites' videos. Here are all of the things that went live last month! Hope you like it!

// ¡Hola a todos! Espero que les esté yendo muy bien (: Noviembre fue un mes muy peculiar para mí. Sucedieron algunas cosas muy padres y, también, hubo momentos terribles. Supongo que fue un mes muy intenso que me enseñó varias valiosas lecciones de vida pero no voy a ahondar mucho en eso aún, supongo que tendrán que esperar un poco para eso, jiji.

Durante noviembre, quise compartir un poco de sabiduría hablando de las cosa que he aprendido a lo largo de los años al ser blogger y YouTuber, ¡ha sido una experiencia increíble y no puedo esperar a ver qué viene en camino! También hice una colaboración con otra YouTuber (me encantan esas cosas), hablé de mis cuentas favoritas de Instagram y reviví mi sección de favoritos mensuales. ¡Aquí está todo lo que subió al canal el mes pasado, espero que les guste!

The Importance Of Staying True To Yourself

A friend of mine told me recently: "if you feel like a million bucks and act like it, people will start seeing you as that; the same thing happens the other way around", this proves life is heavily based on perception: the way you act is the way you're perceived. I've talked a lot about feeling confident with yourself in previous posts and I believe it's crucial to define your personality and stay true to who you are... Confidence is a classic way of making yourself relevant.

Now, I've been giving a lot of thought to what my friend said and I guess that can also be true. So, I'll be applying that to my life from now on with a bit of my previous everyday philosophies. I can stay true to myself and, at the same time, boost my personality, feel and act like a million bucks. Who knows? Maybe that's how people get attracted to others, because of that certain magnetic charming aura around them. Let's try that, instead of pretending to be someone we're not, let's elevate who we actually are and make it clear that we're here to conquer the world!

He hablado mucho de sentirte seguro contigo mismo en publicaciones anteriores y creo que es crucial definir nuestra personalidad y mantenernos fieles a quienes somos... La confianza en nosotros mismos es una manera clásica de volvernos relevantes.

He estado pensando mucho en lo que dijo mi amigo en estos días y supongo que también puede ser verdad. Así que lo voy a incorporar a mi vida de ahora en adelante con un poquito de mis antiguas filosofías diarias. Puedo seguir siendo fiel a quien soy y, al mismo tiempo, darle un empuje a mi personalidad, sentirme y actuar como si valiera millones. ¿Quién sabe? Tal vez así es como la gente se siente atraída a otros, gracias a ese cierta aura de encanto magnético. Intentemos eso, en lugar de pretender ser alguien que no somos, elevemos lo que somos en esencia y dejemos claro que venimos aquí a conquistar el mundo.

Star Of The Show

If you're not having fun with fashion, then you're definitely doing something wrong. Here's what I have to say: If you have to dress everyday anyways, why not have fun with that? People that don't care about fashion because they think it's shallow and superficial are missing an important point; the clothes we wear are an extension of our personality, a way of saying things without having to actually say anything.

I've never been a rich kid, therefore, I'm always really careful with the money I spend. If you take a look into my wardrobe (which you can basically do by reading the outfit posts in here), you'll see that most of my clothes come from fast-fashion brands, H&M is basically my best friend, haha. I rarely spend a lot of money on a single item, it has to be something that I really like and, even then, I'm not willing to spend more than $200 of my own money on it.

Special pieces in your closet are like the finishing touch of a project. I always like to wear those with simple outfits; here, for instance, the jacket is the star of the show and I didn't want to steal attention from it by wearing anything flashy. Sure, I have a cool pair of sunglasses (borrowed from Alex) and rings, but everything else is quite mute. I think that's a really good approach to statement pieces, mix them up with basic colours and let them shine. It's always fun to take a risk but you don't want to look like a crazy person in a costume, unless that's your thing, in that case, go for it!

// Si no se están divirtiendo con la moda, entonces definitivamente están haciendo algo mal. Aquí está lo que tengo que decir: Si de todas formas nos tenemos que vestir todos los días, ¿por qué no divertirnos con eso? La gente que dice que no le importa la moda porque creen que es frívola y superficial están perdiendo un punto muy importante; las prendas que usamos son una extensión de nuestra personalidad, una forma de decir cosas sin tener que hablar en voz alta.

Nunca he sido un niño rico, por eso, siempre soy muy cauteloso con el dinero que gasto. Si echan un vistazo a mi guardarropa (que en esencia pueden hacer leyendo los posts de atuendo aquí), notarán que casi toda mi ropa viene de marcas fast-fashion, H&M es básicamente mi mejor amigo, jaja. Rara vez gasto mucho dinero en una sola cosa, tiene que ser algo que ame en serio y, aún así, no estoy dispuesto a pagar más de 200 dólares de mi propio dinero en eso.

Las piezas especiales en tu clóset son como el toque final de un proyecto. Siempre me gusta usarlas con atuendos muy sencillos; aquí, por ejemplo, la chamarra es la estrella del show y no quise robarle atención usando alguna otra cosa llamativa. Claro, tengo unos lentes muy buena onda (prestados por Alex), y anillos, pero todo lo demás es medio mudo. Creo que ese es una muy buena forma de usar statement pieces, combinarlas con colores básicos y dejarlas brillas. Siempre es divertido tomar riesgos pero tampoco queremos parecer gente loca disfrazada, a menos que eso sea lo nuestro, en dado caso, ¡a darle!
