YouTube Monthly Recap: August

Hey guys! How's it going? August came and went so fast, and I know I say this for every month, haha, but as soon as my birthday happens, the rest of the year passes me by in the blink of an eye. I think this month was good for me in the sense that I kept myself busy, I've also been trying to challenge myself to become a better version of myself, I hope you can tell.

But this is a YouTube recap, so let's focus on YouTube. For this month, the videos on my channel revolved around the end of summer: coming back to school, changing up your look with contacts, with new clothes, giving shopping advice, that was all that mattered. I hope it helps you out, now is always a good time to reinvent yourself, don't you think? Here are all the videos from August, enjoy!

// ¡Hey amigos! ¿Qué tal todo? Agosto vino y se fue muy rápido, y sé que digo esto de todos los meses, jaja, pero tan pronto pasa mi cumpleaños, el resto del año se me va en un parpadeo. Creo que este mes fue bueno para mí en el sentido de haberme mantenido ocupado, también he estado intentando desafiarme para volverme una mejor versión de mí, espero que se note.

Pero esta es una recapitulación de YouTube, así que enfoquémonos en YouTube. Por este mes, los videos en mi canal giraron en torno al final del verano: regresar a la escuela, cambiar tu apariencia con lentes de contacto, con ropa nueva, dar consejos de compras, eso fue todo lo que importó. YouTube Monthly Recap: June

What's up guys?! It's official, we're on the second half of 2017 and June's behind us. This year's going by so fast, I wish it would all slow down ): But since that's not happening anytime soon, we can only embrace what's happening and move forward. June was about trying new things for YouTube, making improvements and learning to work with a revamped team at the studio.

During the course of this month, I did a a new instalment on my outfit inspiration series with trends for 2017's spring and summer; shot a K-Pop inspired hair tutorial; did an honest and not sponsored review of Light In The Box, one of those Asian clothing stores and; gave some tips on how to travel more pleasantly. It's time to recap those videos and put them all together below for you to catch up or watch them again. Enjoy!

// ¿Cómo están amiguines? Es oficial, estamos en la segunda mitad del 2017 y Junio quedó detrás nuestro. Este año se está yendo tan rápido, desearía que todo fuera un poco más lento ): Pero como eso no va a suceder pronto, sólo podemos abrazar lo que venga y seguir adelante. Junio se trató de intentar nuevas cosas para YouTube, hacer mejoras y aprender a trabajar con un equipo renovado en el estudio.

Durante el curso de este mes, hice un nuevo video en mi serie de inspiración para outfits o looks con tendencias de primavera y verano 2017; grabamos un tutorial para cabello inspirado en K-Pop; hice una reseña honesta y no patrocinada de Light In The Box, una de esas tiendas asiáticas de ropa y; les di tips para viajar mejor. YouTube Monthly Recap: May

Hey guys! May flew by and now we're almost done with the first half of 2017, isn't that nuts? May was a bit tough in terms of producing my YouTube videos because the agency that films and edits them (and also manages me) had a bit of a shake up and I had to work with a new director; plus, the editor quit so I had to edit some of videos. I think I did a decent job, haha.

Throughout the month, I focused equally on fashion and skincare/grooming: there was a tutorial with two of my regular hairstyles, a video with tips and tricks on how to pose a bit better (for life in general but particularly for Instagram), the discovery of the greatest Korean beauty store I've seen so far and; also, my first try-on haul. Here are all the videos that went live during the past few weeks: catch up, enjoy, have a laugh and give them some love, okay?

// ¡Hey amigos! Mayo voló y ahora estamos casi terminando la primera mitad de 2017, es una locura ¿no lo creen? Mayo fue un tanto difícil en términos de producir los videos de YouTube porque la agencia que los filma y edita (y que también me representa) tuvo un par de cambios y tuve que trabajar con una nueva directora; además, el editor renunció y yo tuve que editar algunos videos. Creo que hice un buen trabajo, jaja.

Durante el mes, me concentré de forma equitativa en moda y cuidado de la piel/grooming: hubo un tutorial con dos de mis estilos de cabello regulares, un video con tips y trucos para posar un poco mejor (para la vida en general pero particularmente para Instagram), el descubrimiento de la tienda de belleza coreana más padre que he visto hasta hoy y; además, el primer haul donde me pruebo las cosas. Aquí están todos los videos que subieron al canal en las semanas pasadas: pónganse al día, disfrútenlos, rían un poco y denles amor, ¿sí?

Hi guys! March is over now, this year is going so fast!!! So many things happened this month, I think it was a good one for me, and I hope it was a good one for you too. For some reason, this month left me thinking how badly I'd love for time to slow down, do you ever feel that way? Like, everything is going so fast and you just wish for life to stop for a while? I don't know...

But hey, this is a YouTube recap so, let's talk YouTube. April had 5 videos: a monthly favourites video, a K-Pop video !!, a nice haul, some tips on how to be more attractive and a product review of the coolest skincare brush-thingy, haha. YouTube Monthly Recap: February

Hello there best friends! February is behind us and it left with many, many, things over here and, also, up on my YouTube channel. It was a month about adapting and readjusting to reality, that's never easy but I'm managing and trying my hardest to succeed at this crazy thing we call daily life, haha. 

During this month, I shared a lot of my shopping experience in Sacramento during the holidays, gave you some tips on how to live a bit better (I read this awesome book that I'll share here soon), tried on some crazy Korean face mask and, why not, did another shopping video, haha. Here are all the videos that went live during February, catch up, give them some love, will you? 

// ¡Hola mejores amigos! Febrero ha quedado atrás de nosotros y nos dejó muchas, muchas cosas por aquí y, también en mi canal de YouTube. Fue un mes sobre adaptarse y reajustarse a la realidad, eso nunca es fácil pero estoy sobrellevando todo y tratando, con mi mejor esfuerzo, de salir victorioso en esta cosa loca que llamamos vida diaria, jaja.

YouTube Monthly Recap: January

Hey guys! January came and went incredibly fast! I still can't believe we're in 2017, that's insane. December and January were nice but tough months for me because I went to Sacramento to visit my mom and then I had to get back to Mexico which, quite honestly, hasn't been that great. But, hey, things move forward and I have to do the same.

Throughout the month, I shared my resolutions for the new year and also gave you some advice on how to achieve your own; I showed you a bit of my trip to Sacramento; did a jelly bean challenge with a fellow YouTuber friend; tried on some cool Korean eye patches and; finally, told you about my current favourites. Here are all the things that went live during January, enjoy!

// ¡Hey amigos! ¡Enero vino y se fue increíblemente rápido! Aún no puedo creer que estemos en 2017, es una locura. Diciembre y Enero fueron meses buenos pero difíciles para mí porque fui a visitar a mi mamá a Sacramento y luego tuve que regresar a México que, honestamente, no ha estado tan padre. Pero, bueno, las cosas siguen avanzando y yo debo hacer lo mismo.

Top 5 favourite YouTube videos from 2016

2016 is behind us and it was a great year in many aspects and a terrible one in others but I'm choosing to focus on the positives and make a compilation of the top 5 favourite videos that went up to my YouTube channel. One video per week gave a lot of material and choosing five was tough but here are the ones I liked best:

// El 2016 está detrás de nosotros y fue un gran año en muchos aspectos y uno terrible en varios otros pero estoy eligiendo enfocarme en las cosas positivas y hacer una compilación de los cinco videos favoritos que subieron a mi canal de YouTube. Tokyo is one of my favourite cities in the world and I was lucky enough to visit during spring for Fashion Week. In this video, I tried a bunch of Japanese snacks and told you all about it!

Blogger life is more complicated than you may think; so I did a funny video talking about all the lies that they (sometimes we) say on a daily basis, haha.

// La vida de blogger es más complicada de lo que piensan; hice un video chistoso hablando de todas las mentiras que se dicen (decimos, a veces) en vida diaria, jaja.

One of my favourite things is giving advice and on this video I told you my best tips and secrets on how to dress better without spending a fortune. Useful stuff, you know?

YouTube Monthly Recap: November

Hi everyone! Hope you're doing great! November was a funny month for me. Some really cool things happened and, also, some horrible events took place. I guess it was an intense month that taught me several valuable lessons but I'm not really gonna go deep on that just yet, I guess you'll have to wait a little, hehe.

During November, I wanted to share a bit of knowledge by talking about things that I've learned as a blogger and YouTuber these past few years, it has been such an incredible ride and I can't wait to see what comes next! I also did a collaboration with another YouTuber (I love those), talked about my favourite Instagram accounts and resurrected my monthly favourites' videos. Here are all of the things that went live last month! Hope you like it!

// ¡Hola a todos! Espero que les esté yendo muy bien (: Noviembre fue un mes muy peculiar para mí. Sucedieron algunas cosas muy padres y, también, hubo momentos terribles. Supongo que fue un mes muy intenso que me enseñó varias valiosas lecciones de vida pero no voy a ahondar mucho en eso aún, supongo que tendrán que esperar un poco para eso, jiji.

Durante noviembre, quise compartir un poco de sabiduría hablando de las cosa que he aprendido a lo largo de los años al ser blogger y YouTuber, ¡ha sido una experiencia increíble y no puedo esperar a ver qué viene en camino! YouTube Monthly Recap: September

Hi there best friends! Hope you're doing awesome! September came and went in a flash, seriously, it all happened so fast! Haha. I think now I've been doing YouTube for a year and a half and it's been tons of fun; I really like the different aspects that come with it and how it differs so much from photography and the usual shenanigans I post over here.

For September, I continued featuring monthly favourites; did a really cool haul with menswear pieces from H&M, Frank Wright and, for the first time, Mango! Also gave you some tips on how to become a better student (and cheat on exams, haha) and talked about the people I see at the gym... They're very peculiar. Let's catch up, here are all the videos that went live throughout September!

// ¡Hola mejores amigos, espero que les esté yendo muy bien! Septiembre vino y se fue muy repentinamente, en serio, todo pasó muy rápido, jaja. Creo que ahora he estado haciendo YouTube por un año y medio y ha sido muy divertido. Me gustan mucho los distintos aspectos que implica y cómo difiere mucho de lo que usualmente posteo por aquí.

Hey there guys! I hope you're having an amazing time. August came and went and so did my birthday, haha. This is always a difficult month for me but I tried to came up with great ideas for my blog and YouTube channel and, overall, I think it was a pretty good month, you be the judge.

During this month, I resurrected the videos featuring my monthly favourites; I went to the summer sales and bought a bunch of cool things; gave you some tips for school and; finally, talked about time and how it affects us all, in partnership with Daniel Wellington. Now's the perfect moment to catch up and see all the videos from August!

// ¡Hola amigos! Espero que la estén pasando muy bien. Agosto vino y se fue y también sucedió así con mi cumpleaños, jaja. Éste siempre es un mes difícil para mí pero traté de pensar buenas ideas para mi blog y canal de YouTube y creo que, en general, fue un buen mes, ustedes serán los jueces.

Durante este mes, reviví los videos de favoritos mensuales; fui de compras a las rebajas de verano y conseguí muchas cosas padres; di algunos tips para el regreso a clases y; finalmente, hablé sobre el tiempo y cómo nos afecta a todos, en colaboración con Daniel Wellington. YouTube Monthly Recap: July

Hey there best friends! How's it going? I can't believe July just ended, this year's going by so fast! July was a complicated month because I wanted to dedicate all my time to my blog and YouTube channel but I couldn't quite accomplish that, I did try my best, tho... Well, at least on YouTube, everything flowed as it should've.

During this month, which had 5 weekends, I got a bit more personal and even sang a little for you; tried some Sephora masks and treatments; became obsessed with Pokemon Go; shared a bit of my summer plans and tried to give you tips on what to do and; finally, talked about my experience with robbery in Mexico City. If you're catching up, I hope you guys enjoy the videos! If you already watched them, well, give them a second look? Haha.

// ¡Hola mejores amigos! Espero estén muy bien :D No puedo creer que julio ya terminó, ¡el año se nos va muy rápido! Julio fue un mes complicado porque quise dedicar todo mi tiempo al blog y canal de YouTube pero no lo logré tan bien, en serio me esforcé... Pues, al menos en YouTube, todo fluyó como debía.

Durante este mes, que tuvo cinco fines de semana, me puse un poco más personal y les canté un poquito; probé marcarillas de Sephora; me obsesioné con Pokemon Go; les compartí un poco de mis planes de verano y traté de darles tips sobre qué hacer y; finalmente, hablé de mi experiencia con los asaltos en la Ciudad de México. YouTube Monthly Recap: June

Hi guys! How are you? June has ended and it's that time again to recap all the videos that went online onto my YouTube channel. This was a challenging month for me, I bit more than I could chew and found myself immersed in a million responsibilities unable to fulfil all my goals, but hey, I sort of managed to get everything flowing.

During June, I talked about many things: I recommended some animes, talked about things that were relevant during the 90s and fell into Tumblr obscurity, gave you an inside look on my daily cleansing routine and went back to Korea (figuratively speaking) to tell you stuff that you must do if you ever find yourself there. It was a stressful but still fun month!

// ¡Hola hola! ¿Cómo va todo? Junio terminó y nuevamente es momento de recapitular todos los videos que subieron a mi canal de YouTube. Éste fue un mes difícil para mí, mordí más de lo que pude masticar y me encontré inmerso en un millón de responsabilidades, sin poder cumplir todas mis metas, pero oigan, medio logré que todo funcionara.

Durante junio, hablé de muchas cosas: les di recomendaciones de animes, hablé de cosas que fueron relevantes en los 90s pero cayeron en obscuridad nivel Tumblr, les di un vistazo privado a mi rutina de limpieza diaria y volví a Korea (en sentido figurado) para decirles cosas que deben hacer si alguna vez se encuentran por ahí. Fue un mes caótico pero divertido.
