I'm an airhead. Oh wow!: Time and memories (in collaboration with Momo Design)

We're supposed to grow wiser and older every year, to figure out a bit more about how life works and, generally, understand ourselves better. Time works in mysterious ways, you know? One particular moment or situation can teach you more things than a whole period of school; you start realising that maybe learning how to solve equations isn't as important as learning how to pay your taxes or how to give someone the right advice to overcome a problem.

Time flows differently for every single one of us because we grow up and find that we have different priorities, different paths to walk on, some shorter, some more difficult but; the one thing that makes us come together is the idea of memories. Maybe we won't be able to remember what one teacher from high school said but we will remember that our bests friends from that time were in the class with us. Memories are powerful and they're the glue that ties us together.

This post was made in collaboration with Momo Design, a brand that was born in the 80s by creating car accessories, working closely with Formula 1. Momo Design evolved and, eventually, started its own line of menswear apparel, with watches, bags and fragrances added to the mix. I think that the memories of its upbringing are what makes the brand like it is nowadays. Memories are brief moments that we freeze in time, they shape us and they make us who we are today. Let us never forget that.

// Se supone que cada año que pasa nos volvemos más viejos y más sabios, que logramos descifrar un poco más sobre cómo funciona la vida y, generalmente, entendernos mejor. El tiempo funciona en formas misteriosas, ¿saben? Un momento o situación particular nos puede enseñar más que todo un periodo escolar; te comienzas a dar cuenta que quizá aprender a resolver ecuaciones no es tan importante como aprender a pagar impuestos o cómo dar un buen consejo para que alguien resuelva un problema.

El tiempo fluye diferente para cada uno de nosotros porque crecemos y nos damos cuenta que tenemos diferentes prioridades, diferentes veredas qué caminar, algunas cortas y otras más largas pero; la cosa que nos hace reunirnos es la idea de los recuerdos. Quizá no podamos recordar lo que algún profesor de preparatoria nos dijo pero sí recordaremos que nuestros mejores amigos de ese entonces estuvieron en la clase con nosotros. Los recuerdos con poderosos y son el pegamento que nos une.

Momo Design evolucionó y, eventualmente, comenzó su propia línea de ropa para hombre, con relojes, bolsas y fragancias añadidas a la mezcla. creo que la memoria de cómo nació y creció es lo que hace la marca lo que es en estos días. Los recuerdos son momentos breves que congelamos en el tiempo, nos dan forma y forjan quiénes somos hoy en día. Jamás olvidemos eso.
