New Ways

I'm wearing:

Life is about making choices, choosing paths. The first step towards a change is doing things differently. When you're not pleased with the results of something, it's a perfect time to try and do it in a different way... And that's the only road to new results, trying new things. I decided the theme for August would be A Fresh Start because I feel like I need one in many areas of my life, big and small, and if I want to accomplish that, it all begins with baby steps. 

I opted for a different hairstyle for these photos and yeah, you may think it's something pointless, something completely useless but let me tell you something, the road to having a fresh start beings with really small things. I'm not going to throw away my whole life and start from scratch; I want to, metaphorically speaking (in video game language), finish the game and restart it with all my items and experience, you see where I'm going with this?

Maybe we'll make mistakes along the way but at least we're trying new ways of doing things, we're expanding our horizons and, who knows? Maybe that's how we're supposed to find that road that leads to where we want to be, to the accomplishment of our dreams and a brighter future. It's about taking chances, assuming risks and betting on different strategies. Only fools expect different results by doing the same process over and over again...

// La vida se trata de tomar decisiones, elegir caminos. El primer paso hacia el cambio es hacer las cosas diferente. Cuando no estás contento con los resultados de algo, es el momento perfecto para intentar y hacerlo de una forma distinta... Y ese es el único camino hacia nuevos resultados, intentar cosas nuevas. Decidí que el tema para agosto fuera Comienzos Frescos porque siento que necesito algo de eso en muchas áreas de mi vida, grandes y pequeñas, y si quiero lograr eso, todo empieza con pasos de bebé.

Elegí un peinado diferente para estas fotos y sí, quizá puedan pensar que no es gran cambio, que es algo medio inútil, pero, déjenme decirles algo: el camino hacia los nuevos comienzos comienza con cosas muy pequeñas. No es como que voy a tirar toda mi vida y comenzar de cero; quiero, metafóricamente hablando (y en lenguaje de videojuegos), terminar el juego y reiniciarlo con todos mis items y experiencia, ¿ven a dónde voy con esto?

Quizá cometamos errores a lo largo del camino pero al menos estamos intentando nuevas formas de hacer las cosas, estamos expandiendo nuestros horizontes y, ¿quién sabe? Quizá es así cómo debemos encontrar el camino que lleva hacia donde queremos estar, al cumplimiento de nuestros sueños y un futuro más brillante. Se trata de tomar riesgos, agarrar oportunidades y apostar en diferentes estrategias. Sólo la gente tonta espera diferentes resultados intentando el mismo proceso una y otra vez...
