Kingdom (Collaboration with COACH)

I'm wearing:

1. Chunky knit sweater in black, from Coach SS16.

2. Black and white sandals/sneakers, from Coach SS16.

3. Denim shorts, from Pull & Bear.

Weather's been kinda crazy these past few years. No matter where you are, spring no longer means shorts and flip flops and winter no longer means fur coats and scarves. At least not completely. What I mean by this is that garments have stopped being seasonal exclusives and it's not strange to find chunky knit sweaters within a spring collection. That makes me happy. 

I like to wear my clothes whenever I feel like it and ignore weather conditions. I think it's more fun that way. What's the point of buying stuff when you can only wear it during a couple of months? All my sweaters and coats would spend half a year in a box and I would be enslaved to wearing tank tops and shorts. That's a bad investment, dude. My wardrobe is my kingdom, that's why I can make any decision I want. 

I think Coach's Spring Summer 16 collection is a little about that. There are tons of trench coats, sweaters and sweatshirts but they're paired with shorts or fluffy sandals. The idea is to have pieces that can stay in your wardrobe for longer. Luxury items are a big investment sometimes and it would be stupid to get something to wear for only one season. I believe luxury brands like Coach are taking a step forward and adapting to the newer generations, to satisfy our ever changing needs.

Al menos no enteramente. A lo que me refiero con esto es que las prendas han dejado de ser exclusivas de temporada y no es raro ver sweaters de tejido grueso en una colección de primavera. Eso me hace feliz. 

Me gusta usar mi ropa cada vez que quiera e ignorar las condiciones del clima. Creo que es más divertido de esa forma. ¿Cuál es el punto de comprar cosas cuando sólo puedes usarla durante un par de meses? Todos mis sweaters y abrigos pasarían la mitad del año en una caja y yo estaría esclavizado a usar camisetas sin manga y shorts. Así es una mala inversión chavos. Mi guardarropa es mi reino, ahí es donde puedo tomar cualquier decisión que quiera. 

Creo que la colección primavera-verano de Coach es un poco sobre eso. Hay muchos abrigos, sweaters y sudaderas pero están puestos con shorts o sandalias de peluche. La idea es tener piezas que puedan estar en tu guardarropa por más tiempo. Los artículos de lujo son una gran inversión a veces y sería tonto comprar algo que sólo puedes usar por una temporada. Creo que marcas de lujo como Coach están avanzando y adaptándose a las nuevas generaciones, para satisfacer nuestras necesidades en cambio constante.
