Once A Wildcat

Wisdom #6 Once A Wildcat
We're a generation of media-influenced minds. We find characters on TV shows, on movies, and we feel a resonance with them. That's important for us, we become invested and care about them almost as much as we do for our friends in real life. We all have something that marked us growing up and I think the first thing that really resonated with me was High School Musical.

I'm not even ashamed of saying that, I don't care if that wasn't what cool kids were into at the time. High School Musical blew my mind because it wasn't just another Disney Channel Original Movie, it had music and it wasn't animated, it was a real musical. High School Musical went on to become a super successful franchise and, also, earned a place in my heart. I knew all the songs, I sang them, God, they were even my ringtones at one point.

Last weekend, Disney Channel aired the three movies, one after the other (sadly, I missed the first one), to commemorate its 10th anniversary, and it became clear that High School Musical was a big part of my high school life. It taught me to dream, to enjoy singing and to have fun. I was a much happier person back then and, even if I wouldn't be friends with the Henry from that time, I need to remember that he used to be lighthearted and enjoyed life much more than I do now. I need to rescue the bits I liked from who I was back then. Get my head in the game because once a wildcat... ALWAYS A WILDCAT.

Me enseñó a soñar, a disfrutar cantar y a divertirme. SIEMPRE ERES LINCE.
Love always,
Henry.
