September: Romance

I've always had a thing for romance...

Call me crazy, naive, old school, I don't mind. I have a certain fascination with romance, with courtship and beautiful moments frozen in time. I'm a romantic in terms that exceed pure infatuation, they go beyond love. I romanticise everything: I believe that emotions can create incredible experiences, aesthetic, intelectual moments that you can cherish for life.

Ironically, I've never been good at expressing my feelings; everything I do is always very carefully thought, very calculated; but the point here remains: for me, life has a romantic appeal and it's ridiculous to try and deny it. I know that we live in a world plagued with fatalists but, every now and then, we need a bit of emotion, of flare and drama to keep going.

That's why I decided to make September all about romance and its different aspects. The outfit posts, life journals, wisdom moments (and pretty much everything you'll see here) will revolve around romanticism and emotion. So, it's time for me to dig a little deeper and restore my faith in a world filled with unattached individuals and pessimists. Siempre he sentido algo por el romance...

Llámenme loco, ingenuo, anticuado, no me importa. Tengo cierta fascinación con el romance, con el cortejo y momentos hermosos congelados en el tiempo. Soy un romántico en términos que exceden la pura infatuación, van más allá del amor. Hago algo romántico de todo: creo que las emociones pueden crear experiencias increíbles, momentos intelectuales y estéticos para apreciar de por vida.

Irónicamente, nunca he sido muy bueno para expresar mis sentimientos; todo lo que hago siempre está cuidadosamente pensado, muy planeado; pero el punto aquí pertenece: para mí, la vida tiene un sentido romántico y es ridículo tratar de negarlo. Sé que vivimos en un mundo plagado de fatalistas pero, de vez en cuando, necesitamos un poco de emoción, de drama para seguir adelante.

Por eso decidí hacer de Septiembre algo muy romántico y tratar diferentes aspectos del romance. Los posts de atuendo, los diarios de vida, momentos de sabiduría (y prácticamente todo lo que verán aquí) girará en torno al romanticismo y las emociones. Así que es momento para que yo excave un poco más profundo y restaure mi fe en un mundo lleno de personas desapegadas y pesimismo.
