More Than a Band

I have an unusual profession: I'm a blogger and YouTuber. My job is sharing several aspects of my life with the world, give my opinion to others, it's a really weird career. I started this website almost five years ago and I couldn't be any more grateful for all of the opportunities and good things that have come with it... But one thing has always stood out: the people. 

Not long ago, I had a meet and greet with some of my followers and I was overwhelmed with their kindness and good vibes. It reassured me that I'm doing the right thing, that I'm doing this for a reason and that there's always something great around the corner. Another branch of greatness has been meeting other bloggers and YouTubers, I've come to know them, hang out, become friends with them and treasure our relationship deeply. We're more than colleagues, we're like a band: we work together, we face similar struggles and discover new opportunities with every door that one of us opens.

But, in the same way, we're more than a band, we're more than co-workers, than teammates: we're friends, we understand each other and if one of us makes it big, we all accomplish a huge step in our journeys. We play different concerts, have different genres, we're a band and we're more than that. My shoulder is their shoulder, their tears are my tears. We come from different worlds but this crazy job has brought us together and I don't regret, not for one second, meeting any of the friends I've made along the way.

// Tengo una profesión inusual: soy blogger y YouTuber. Mi trabajo es compartir varios aspectos de mi vida con el mundo, dar mi opinión a otros, es una carrera muy extraña. Comencé este sitio web hace casi cinco años y no podría estar más agradecido por todas las oportunidades y cosas buenas que ha traído consigo... Pero una cosa siempre se ha destacado más que otras: las personas.

No hace mucho, tuve una convivencia con seguidores y me abrumó su bondad y buenas vibras. Me hizo sentir que estoy haciendo algo bueno, que estoy haciendo esto por una razón y que siempre hay algo bueno a la vuelta de la esquina. Otra rama de grandeza ha sido encontrarme a otros bloggers y YouTubers, los he conocido, convivido con ellos, nos hemos hecho amigos y ahora atesoro mucho esas relaciones. Somos más que colegas, somos  como una banda: trabajamos juntos, nos enfrentamos a dificultades similares y descubrimos nuevas oportunidades con cada puerta que uno de nosotros abre.

Pero, en esa misma nota, somos más que una banda, somos más que colegas de trabajo, que compañeros de equipo: somos amigos, nos entendemos y si uno de nosotros la arma en grande, todos completamos un gran paso en nuestro viaje. Tocamos diferentes conciertos, con distintos géneros, somos una banda y somos más que una banda. Mi hombro es su hombro, sus lágrimas son mis lágrimas. Venimos de mundos diferentes pero este trabajo de locura nos ha juntado y ni por un segundo me arrepiento de haber conocido a estos amigos que he hecho en el camino.
