Sharing Is Caring (mainly a post about IKEA)

I'm wearing: 

1. Floral print sweatshirt in green, H&M x Morris & Co.

2. Super skinny jeans in acid wash, from Pull & Bear.

3. Double creeper sneakers in off white, Fenty X Puma.

4. Round clear glasses, from Zaful.

5. Rings, from H&M.

If I had to rank my favourite brands/stores in the whole world (or at least the ones that I've been exposed to), the top 3 (in no particular order) would be composed of Costco, H&M and IKEA, the latter is the only one that I don't have in Mexico (yet), so every time I visit my mom in the States, I make sure it's one of the first places we visit (HECK! I had to visit IKEA even when I travelled to Tokyo, even when it took more than an hour to get there, even when it was the most expensive subway ride ever). 

My love for IKEA has made me do an unconventional haul video on my YouTube channel, put picture frames, lamps, EVEN A RUG! inside my luggage... But I love the store, what can I do? I love how its designed, what it stands for (democratising design and making it accessible for everyone), their food court, the Swedish food market... I just love IKEA, okay? So during this trip (and thanks to browsing through Instagram) I decided that I needed to do a photoshoot in the parking lot, I needed to get my love immortalised. 

I'll admit it, it was a tough shoot, getting everything to work in my favour (especially the natural light) was a challenge, ignoring people giving me the stink eye because I shot the photos with my tripod and remote next to their precious invaluable cars and stupid stuff like that... But in the end, I was super pleased with the results, I was able to frame my love for IKEA in a photo, share it with the world on social media (because I'm not ashamed to say how much I love this store) and express my love for it a bit of a fashion twist... Who knows? Maybe one day, IKEA will repost my photos or (even better) will offer to partner up with me and create amazing love-filled content, haha!

// Si tuviera que hacer un ranking de mis tiendas/marcas favoritas del mundo entero (o al menos a las que he estado expuesto), el top 3 (sin orden particular) estaría compuesto por Costco, H&M y IKEA, la última es la única que no tengo en México (aún), así que cada vez que visito a mi mamá en Estados Unidos, me aseguro de que sea uno de los primeros lugares que visitemos (FUI UN LOCO y no dejé de visitar IKEA cuando fui a Tokyo, aún cuando me tomaba más de una hora llegar, aún cuando fue el viaje más caro de metro).

Mi amor por IKEA me ha llevado a hacer un video-haul poco convencional en mi canal de YouTube, poner marcos de fotos, lámparas, HASTA UN TAPETE, dentro de mi equipaje... Pero amo la tienda ¿qué puedo hacer? Amo cómo está diseñada, lo que representa (democratizar el diseño y hacerlo accesible para todos), su zona de comida, el súper mercado sueco... Amo IKEA ¿okay? Así que durante este viaje (y gracias a Instagram) decidí que tenía que hacer una sesión de fotos en el estacionamiento, necesitaba inmortalizar mi amor.

Lo admitiré, fue una sesión difícil, lograr que todo funcionara a mi favor (especialmente la luz natural) fue un desafío, ignorar a la gente que me veía feo porque tomé las fotos con mi tripie y control remoto junto a sus preciosos e invaluables coches y cosas tontas así... Pero al final, estuve súper complacido con los resultados, logré enmarcar mi amor por IKEA en una foto, compartirla con el mundo en redes sociales (porque para nada me avergüenza decir lo mucho que amo esta tienda) y expresar mi amor por ella con un toque de moda... ¿Quién sabe? Quizá algún día, IKEA le dará repost a mis fotos o (aún mejor) me ofrecerá hacer equipo y crear contenido increíble lleno de amor, jaja.
