The Mean REDS.

I'm wearing:

3. Blue suede boots, from Frank Wright.

4. Red and blue striped socks, from TOPTEN10.

5. Dreamcatcher necklace, from Asos.

6. Oversized clubmasters, from Ray-Ban.

One of my favorite movie moments from all times is when Audrey Hepburn, as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's, describes "the mean reds" as those days when suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of. I kept going back to that idea after shooting these photos in which I incorporated a bit of red to the general image.

Korea has been an amazing journey for me but it has had its up and downs. I've had some mean reds during my stay. I have to say that they have been few compared to the good days but they're still there; not that there's anything wrong with feeling scared sometimes, in some ways I think it's helpful (in small doses); just like this outfit. Bits of red to help ignite something that otherwise wouldn't be there.

I'm wearing a t-shirt from the Brick Lane Bikes collection that H&M did a few months ago (you can see that post here). It's supposed to be for bikers so the fit is really athletic and tight, I really like it and, also, it has two pockets in the back that I didn't photograph (because, apparently, I'm very stupid sometimes) that are genius. I paired that simple t-shirt with skinny jeans, suede boots from Frank Wright and, with the mean reds idea and the BLB logo in red, decided to add some details in red, in the form of a feather necklace and funky striped socks. A little personality here and there.

Korea ha sido un viaje increíble para mí pero ha tenido sus altibajos. He vivido algunos "mean reds" durante mi estancia aquí. Debo admitir que han sido pocos comparados con los días buenos pero, aún así, ahí están; no que haya algo malo con sentirse asustado a veces, en cierta forma creo que ha sido de ayuda (en dosis pequeñas); justo como en este atuendo. Toques rojos para ayudar la ignición de algo que, sin eso, no estará presente.

Uso una playera de la colección que H&M y Brick Lane Bikes hizo hace un par de meses (pueden ver el post aquí). Está diseñada para ciclistas, así que el talle es atlético y pegado, me gusta mucho y, además, tiene dos bolsillos en la espalda que no fotografié (porque, aparentemente, puedo ser un idiota a veces) y son una maravilla. Combiné la playera simple con jeans entubados, botas de gamuza de Frank Wright y, con la idea de los "mean reds" y el logo de BLB en rojo, decidí añadir algunos detalles en rojo, como el collar de plumas y las calcetas chistosas con ramitas. Un poquito de personalidad por aquí y por allá.
