Harajuku: Center of Fashion and Culture.

I'm wearing:

1. Biker vest in black, from Forever 21.
2. Blue polka dot sweatshirt, from TOPTEN10 Korea.
3. Super skinny jeans in black, from Asos.
4. Blue suede Mortimer boots, from Frank Wright Shoes.
5. Mermaid necklace, from Asos.
6. Rings, from H&M.
On day 2 of my trip to Tokyo, I fulfilled a dream of mine and visited Harajuku a.k.a. "The fashion and culture district". I love the artistic areas of a city and Harajuku quickly became my favorite part of Tokyo. It has a great balance between the old Japan and the new one because to reach the fashion area you have to cross the Meiji Shrine. It was a beautiful thing to see. Detailed photos of Harajuku will come soon, they're just too many to fit in this post but I promise they'll arrive.

After crossing the shrine, I found Takeshita street, a pretty crowded place with a bunch of small boutiques and tons of crepes and kebab stands. Weird, huh? Takeshita is great for accessory shopping and "Lolita-themed" garments. When that street is done, you will find the main avenue where stores like H&M or Forever 21 are located. The sales on those were insanely good! Even with that, my favorite part of Harajuku has to be the small alleyways that are around this area of clothing stores.

I shot the photos outside the best second hand store I've ever seen: RAGTAG. It's amazing. I got some gold glitter Converse that, I truly feel, were new for 30-35 dollars. And every store display looks so cool. I don't know, it feels kind of old compared to the flashy main street but I loved its charm. I couldn't find any other place that felt as cool and authentic as this side of Harajuku. I could live there, seriously. Not speaking Japanese wouldn't matter, I fell in love with this place.

Raro ¿no?

Harakuju, my love, I can't wait to see you again.
Love always,
Hen.
