Refuse to be Ordinary

refuse to be ordinary
refuse to be ordinary 4 I'm wearing:

1. Cape in black, from H&M.
2. V-neck t-shirt in black, from H&M.
3. Snap super skinny jeans in black, from Dr. Denim.
4. Wrinkled suede Chelsea boots, from Asos.
5. Rings, from H&M.

refuse to be ordinary 7 I'm not too keen on watching fashion shows or stuff like that. I prefer the anthropologic side of fashion; you know? Understanding why people dressed they way they did and all those implications. But the one thing that I'm really liking about current shows, ad campaigns and tons of other fashion things is that they're pushing an androgynous look into their models. That, my friends, is amazing.

When I was living in Seoul, I went to this store called Codes Combine (one of my favourite Korean fast-fashion brands): the 2nd floor was menswear; the first floor, womenswear and; the basement was unisex. That's right: UNISEX! So the deal was going there, finding garments that you liked and that was it, no big deal, no gender code, nothing. It only mattered if you liked the item. That was 3 years ago and I think something similar is finally making a splash worldwide.

I bought this cape at H&M Korea around the same era (at the men's section), I have to admit it's not the manliest piece I own. But I've always wanted to wear a cape, a real one, and this was perfect. I think it's just a fun piece to wear and there's really not much more I can say about it. I liked it, I bought it and I wear it every once in a while. Some people give me a funny look when I do it but, at the end of the day, life is about taking chances and one of the best things you can do is refuse to be ordinary. Be who you want to be, do whatever the hell you want. Have some fun.

refuse to be ordinary 3 refuse to be ordinary 6 refuse to be ordinary 2 refuse to be ordinary 5 Love always,
Henry.
