I'm obsessed with wood; wooden doors, wooden floors, wooden walls, ceilings, furniture... I really like the vibe it emits; especially when it's in a place with tall ceilings and it's painted in white. Don't you just love white wood? It's a marvelous thing, instantly giving everything an elegant -roughly finished- touch.

In some way, our souls work like wood. They get cut, transformed, they chip, they break; sometimes they give off a soothing quality, other times, they're rotten. I'm a city guy, I've told you that a million times before, but sometimes I do crave some nature connection, even a small one. The soul chips when that humanistic connection is lost or when relationships don't flow in a positive way. That's why some people are like a swollen piece of wood, full with things they don't need yet they choose to preserve.

The way I dress works the same; there are times when I feel like I want to be super sophisticated, edgy and fashion-forward but as much as I love to produce myself, I'm also a simple guy. Some days, I just want to put on a cap and don't worry about my hair or stuff like that, this is really that same craving for simplicity that wooden things make me feel. A cry for the good old nice and easy days.

Love always,
Hen.
