I love museums, I love big streets, the main avenues, with all the interesting architectural designs, the big buildings. What can I say? I'm a city guy. Leave the paradisiac beaches to others, my favorite things come in concrete. On the final day of my trip to Merida, I visited the most important avenue on the city: Paseo Montejo. It's breathtakingly beautiful, seriously.

Oh, but how do I loathe the weather in this city. It's always sunny, always hot, I despise that. Imagine this building (by the way, that's the Anthropology and History Museum of Merida) covered in snow, wouldn't that be a vision? But no, sadly, we're stuck with the sun and the heat and all that comes with that, ruining the whole "walk through the city" thing that I love.

I hate sweating, did I ever tell you that? It's horrible. I'm not a person that sweats much, I have friends that sweat like a leaking pipe, but every time I feel that sweat is coming out, I panic. Why can't we seat like dogs, through our mouth? I guess that would be horrible too. And don't get me started on how to dress for that type of weather, I'm perfectly clueless and completely okay with that. I will never respect the weather if it's trying to determine how I must dress.

Until next time, Mérida. Love always,
Hen.
