How to style your Chelsea Boots

Black Suede Chelsea Boots | How to Wear & What to Wear With & Where to Buy Everyone's who's anyone, from the Beatles to One Direction and so on, has been seen with a certain type of shoes called "Chelsea boots"; now, those are ankle-high and close fitting shoes that could be made out of leather, suede or a million different things; they don't, ever, require laces, so they're quite easy to put on and take off. 

Learning to love Chelsea boots took me some time. At first, I thought they looked dated, because I saw them with kind of like flare jeans and the boots were covered but; ever since I saw them with skinny jeans, I thought they were amazing. Funny how you can change your opinion just by looking at things from a different angle, huh?

A couple of fellas have asked me how to style their Chelsea boots. Apparently, they love the look of them but enter crisis mode after the purchase. The best piece of advice I can give is to  pair them with straight or skinny jeans (for me, the skinnier the fit, the better). From there, you can experiment: show your ankles, don't show your ankles, fold your jeans, tuck one leg in, be creative. Chelsea boots are a strong reference to the mod period in the 60s, remember that and use it to your advantage. Be a rockstar, have tons of fun.

Aprender a amar las botas Chelsea me llevó algún tiempo. Al principio, creí que lucían anticuadas, porque las vi con jeans amplios y de fuera, con la bota for dentro pero; desde que las vi con pantalones entubados, creí que eran asombrosas. Es chistoso cómo puede cambiar tu opinión sólo mirando las cosas desde un ángulo diferente, ¿no?

Un par de chavitos me ha preguntado cómo estilar sus botas Chelsea. Aparentemente, las aman cuando las ven pero entran en crisis después de comprarlas. El mejor consejo que les puedo dar es que las combinen con jeans rectos o entubados (para mí, mientras más entubados, mejor). De ahí, pueden experimentar: muestren los tobillos, no muestren los tobillos, doblen sus jeans, metan sólo una pierna del pantalón en la bota y la otra no, sean creativos Las botas Chelsea son una referencia fuerte al periodo mod de los 60's, recuerden eso y úsenlo a su favor. Sean estrellas del rock, diviértanse mucho.
