October: Time for inspiration and style

I don't want to talk about it... 

The other day I was talking to a friend (and I wasn't in the best of places, emotionally speaking), and during that talk he told me that something about me sounded different, he couldn't pin-point what but that's what he felt. That got me thinking: what is it that's different about me these days? And I realized several things about myself. I've had my ups and downs and, certainly, most of it has been publicly spread in the pages of this blog.

In one way or another, I know that I'm a blogger and that I'm exposing a lot of my life through the internet: in videos, in photos, in blog posts. I know that. But I also am a very private and reserved person, I'm not the biggest fan of sharing the heavy stuff, you know? And lots of people are like that too. I'm hoping this website connects with those to make them feel better. So, thinking back, I realized that I was using this blog as a let-out for all of the things that were going through my mind. That's why, this month, I want to do something different.

Back in 2012, when I started this blog, I didn't have a clear mission for it. Yes, I talked about style and fashion but it wasn't very meaningful. I incorporated more and more of myself as I went along and now, for this October, I want to trace back and bring a bit of that to the current situation. This month is all about style and inspiration. What makes me tick and what I can share with you. Therefore, the upcoming posts will be heavily focused on fashion and styling tips.

Of course, there's the usual stuff, I'll cover an event or two over here, there will be an editorial at the end of the month, one or maybe two installments of the book club... But, you'll see more outfit posts than any other kind of posts. I want to see how this goes with me being in a different place in my life now. Let's hope it turns out to be a great month for all of us. Oh, by the way, this month's playlist is available by clicking here and it's also up on my YouTube channel.

//No quiero hablar al respecto... 

El otro día estaba hablando con un amigo (y yo no estaba en el mejor lugar emocional), y durante esa plática, él me dijo que algo en mí sonaba diferente, que no podía decir exactamente qué pero que eso sentía. Eso me puso a pensar: ¿qué hay de diferente en mí estos días? Y me di cuenta de muchas cosas sobre mí. He tenido mis altas y bajas y, ciertamente, la mayor parte de eso ha sido públicamente expuesto en las páginas de este blog.

En una forma u otra, sé que soy blogger y que estoy exponiendo mucho de mi vida en internet: en videos, en fotos, en entradas del blog. Lo sé. Pero también soy una persona muy privada y reservada, no soy el más fan de compartir las cosas pesadas, ¿saben? Y mucha gente es así también. Espero que este sitio web conecte con ellos y los haga sentir mejor. Así que, recordando, me di cuenta que estaba usando este blog como una forma de desahogar todas las cosas que corrían en mi mente. Por eso, este mes, quiero hacer algo distinto.

Allá en 2012, cuando empecé este blog, no tenía una misión clara para éste. Sí, hablaba de estilo y moda pero no había mucha profundidad. Fui incorporando más y más de mí conforme avanzaba y ahora, para este octubre, quiero ir hacia atrás y traer un poco de eso a la situación actual. Este mes se trata completamente de estilo e inspiración. Qué me hace sentir algo y qué puedo compartir con ustedes. Por lo tanto, los posts a venir estarán altamente enfocados en moda y tips de estilismo.

Por supuesto, estará lo usual, cubriré un evento o dos por aquí, habrá un editorial al final del mes, uno  o dos posts del club del libro... Pero, verán más posts de atuendo que cualquier otro tipo de posts. Quiero ver cómo funciona esto ahora que estoy en un lugar distinto en mi vida. Esperemos que sea un gran mes para todos nosotros.
