How to wear longline clothes?

How to wear longline clothes In summer of 2015, I saw lots of longline garments in different fast-fashion stores (like Asos, Zara or H&M) and that made me pretty happy, because I loathe shirts in shorter lengths. Longline only means an item that's longer than usual. I bought some of these during the sales and when winter arrived, I was surprised to see many longline pieces on sale again. I think I know why that happened, people don't really understand it: I went shopping with my mom and sister and I tried a bunch of longer tops and they asked why I was trying on dresses...

Longline clothes aren't dresses, they're just longer. It's that simple. But that got me thinking: why do I like them so much? And it's because I have a short torso and long legs, so, longline pieces balance me out quite nicely and they make me look taller. I researched a bit about this fashion and I realised it's a modern, classier, interpretation of the oversized t-shirts in hip-hop. Do you remember those?

So, if people don't know how to wear longline clothes, they don't buy them. It's not that hard, really, it's all a game of proportions. You don't want the tops to be too long because they'll look like dresses and, also, not too oversized because then it misses the point. A great longline item is fitted and (this isn't just me, I swear) it looks way better with skinnier pants. Overall, it's a refreshing fit for a world of menswear with such limited options. I'll upload an outfit featuring this on an upcoming post to prove how great it looks, you'll see. Click here for an outfit proving how right I am about longline pieces, haha.

How to wear longline clothes 2 Love always,

  1. Throughout history, the colours of clothing that individuals wear convey special meanings or are worn to convey some form of personal expression. From ancient kings wearing purple, to Western brides wearing white, colourful clothing presents very clear statements about the wearer. Even on a more subtle or subconscious level, the colour of one's clothes can stimulate certain feelings or emotional responses in both the wearer and the observer. women's walker chelsea boot
