Laid Back

I find it really important to always be dress in a presentably manner. If you've met me, you know this is true. I might not be a fancy lad but I do like to look good all the time; so it doesn't matter if I'm going to lunch, school or I'm taking out the trash, chances are I could wear the same outfit for any of those activities. "Why?" You might ask. "That's unnecessary", you might say...

Let me explain myself a bit better. I like clothes, I like buying clothes and I enjoy putting together outfits... Life is short, so I take every chance I get to dress the way I like, not the way society expects or the environment asks. Sure, I could throw in some jogging pants and sneakers to take out the trash, nothing wrong with that, but that's not the kind of person I am. Every day gives you an opportunity to say something, even without words, my outfits and fashion sense work like that, they're an extension of my personality.

This time, tho, I WAS INDEED wearing something to go out for lunch. As you can see, it was sunny and hot outside but I really wanted to wear my Chelsea boots and the leather vest, and so I did. I think that's a little advice I can offer, don't wait for the occasion to tell you when to wear the things you like, just do it. Really. If you feel like dressing up real fancy for school one day, do it. If you feel like looking laid back when going out with your friends, like me on this post, do it. If you feel like wearing sweatpants to your brother's wedding... Well, let us not go all crazy here and stuff (;

Permitan explicarme un poco mejor. Me gusta la ropa, me gusta comprar ropa y disfruto armando atuendos... La vida es corta, así que tomo cada oportunidad que tengo para vestirme como me gusta, no como la sociedad espera o la situación acostumbra. Claro, podría usar pants y tennis para tirar la basura, no hay algo malo con eso, pero ése no es el tipo de persona que soy. Cada día da una oportunidad de decir algo, aún sin palabras, mis atuendos y sentido de la moda funcionan así, son una extensión de mi personalidad.

Esta vez, AHORA SÍ, estaba usando algo para ir a almorzar. Como pueden ver, había mucho sol y claro afuera pero en serio quería usar mis Chelsea boots y el chaleco de piel, entonces lo hice. Creo que ese es un pequeño consejo que puedo darles, no esperen a que la ocasión les diga cuándo usar las cosas que les gustan, sólo háganlo. En serio. Si sienten ganas de ir muy elegantes a la escuela un día, háganlo. Si quieren vestirse buena onda para salir con sus amigos, como yo en este post, háganlo. Si sienten ganas de usar pants para la boda de su hermano... Bueno, tampoco nos aloquemos (;
