coming clean (Mi Moneda Collab)

I'm wearing:

2. Slim fit blue blazer, from Asos.
3. Simple black t-shirt, from Asos.
4. Paneled super skinny jeans, from H&M.
5. Creeper sneakers, from Gourmet Shoes.
I recently was introduced to the Dutch brand Mi Moneda (that's Spanish for "my coin") and they have the coolest necklaces! They work under the principle of combining high end jewellery with spiritual ideas from the past. In ancient Egypt coins were used as amulets, kept close to the heart, and with a special, particular, meaning; they often bore images of pharaohs and gods.

Mi Moneda took this as inspiration and made it wearable and personalized. There are three basic steps: the first is choosing the necklace; second step is selecting a pendant (the frame around the medal) and; last, picking a medal. Everything is interchangeable, that makes it even more awesome. Like I said recently (on this post from June), I feel like customization is the future of fashion. My creation is a balance of gold and silver with cubic zirconia; I went for something discreet and not too shiny to still keep it manly and clean, but still really cool.

The backdrop for these photos was, as you can see, wet, rainy. I kept thinking about that Hilary Duff song (Come Clean) and that melody put me straight in the mood for the shoot. I also wanted to pair my necklace with a simple outfit, definitely not prints or bright colors, to make the piece stand out even more. I think I did a great job and I'm really in love with Mi Moneda. Be sure to head to their website and check out all of their pieces, they're truly amazing!

And some bonus shots (before the rain poured down)!:
Thanks Mi Moneda for this really special necklace!
Love always,
Hen.
