The Classic Guy collaboration with HM for Tokyo Fashion Week 5I could've been the guy in the fur coat with a crazy hat and a borderline inappropriate outfit for Fashion Week in Tokyo, but, that's not who I am. I've said this before and I believe it's true: you have to be yourself for these kind of events, maybe exaggerate a bit, but still be yourself. It's not a costume party, it's a work thing (that happens to have lots of street style photographers), so you have to look your best and, trust me, your best self looks really cool.

I went for a "classic guy" sort of look for that day of runways and presentations. I've been into polo shirts a lot lately, I used to dislike them because I thought they looked too posh but when I discovered slim fit t-shirts everything changed. That's the thing about me, one day I can look really preppy and put-together in a polo shirt and white denim jacket and the next I can wear a septum ring and a leather jacket. I'm still me, but my personality has lots of different layers.

The setting for this outfit is right in the center of one of my favourite places in Tokyo: Harajuku. This district is filled with awesome little shops, pancake restaurants, cafés and thrift stores. The moment I saw this store, I fell in love with it. It very much went with my outfit and personality for that day: classic lines, a simple yet crisp design, it was perfect. I said that this month would be about ruling the world and, here's some advice, that means being able to adapt and sell all sides of you, all our different layers. When you manage to do that, you're one step closer to win at life.
