MBFWT: Cote Mer AW16

Thinking back, I have to admit, I loved being a part of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Tokyo, it was an incredible thing to do. I met so many people (even made some friends), I learned a lot about Japanese fashion and their fashion industry, drank more Red Bulls than I can count, haha, and had a chance to be really up close fashion shows.

One of my favourite shows was Cote Mer; I don't know, something about their pieces really appealed to me: I think the styling was amazing (I really dig the whole "hobo-but-not-really aesthetic), the androgynous look of some of their models was very cool too and; also, the badass vibe they portrayed was something special. It took me somewhere else and I was drawn to that story, filled with careless, rebel characters in fringes, oversized pieces, denim and leather.

Cote Mer was one of the shows where I was seated in the front row and that made me feel very special. I went there with two super cool girls that I met during a previous presentation and I guess we all felt a bit like superstars, haha. Conocí a tanta gente (hasta hice amigos), aprendí mucho de la moda japonesa y su industria de moda, tomé más Red Bulls de los que puedo contar, jaja, y tuve la oportunidad de estar muy de cerca de los desfiles.

Uno de mis shows favoritos fue Cote Mer; no sé, algo en sus piezas conectó mucho conmigo: creo que el estilismo estuvo muy bien hecho (me encanta esa estética de indigente-pero-no-realmente), la apariencia andrógina de algunos de sus modelos también estaba padre y; además, la vibra rockera que presentaron fue muy especial. Me llevó mentalmente a otro lugar y me perdí en esa historia, llena de personajes desenfadados y rebeldes usando flecos, piezas oversized, mezclilla y cuero.

Cote Mer fue uno de esos desfiles donde me sentaron en primera fila y eso me hizo sentir muy especial. Fui con dos niñas muy lindas que conocí en una presentación anterior y creo que todos nos sentimos un poco como súper estrellas, jaja.
